You may have heard Mike Epp’s song ‘Ain’t Chu You’ on a previous “A” Pod (Click Here if you missed it) but the video has finally been released. Of course if’s full of classic Day-Day…oops! I mean Mike Epps hilarity! The video was filmed in the “A” and features Dorrough, Young Dro and a Nitti beat.
Not only is funny man Mike Epps the host of this year’s BET Hit Hop Awards, he’s also a rapper with a hot new song of his own. Mike recently filmed the video for “Ain’t Chu You” which features Young Dro, Nitti & Dorrough and the song is actually not bad. Mike explained recently that the idea for the song came to mind when he was touring in a small town and someone came up to him and asked “Ain’t Chu You?”…he wrote a few funny lyrics, hit up Nitti for a hot beat and the rest is history.

Atlanta was the central celebration location yesterday (June 16th) for what would have been Tupac Shakur’s 38th birthday. The 1st annual Tupac Birthday All-Star Benefit Concert was held at The Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Atlanta and his mother, Afeni Shakur & actor/comedian Mike Epps joined forces to honor the fallen rapper.
The unique partnership was created by Epps, who despite juggling a national comedy tour, promotion of the new DVD “Funny Bidness” and two box-office films, “Next Day Air” and “Janky Promoters,” felt honored to interrupt his busy schedule to celebrate the late rapper:
“I’m a long-time fan of Pac’s music. It’s always been the soundtrack for overcoming struggle and when my life was in a desolate place it was his messages that helped bring me through,” says Epps. “I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for his inspiration. It’s an honor for me to stand alongside his mother, Afeni Shakur in celebrating such a personal moment in her son’s history.”

The single “Big Girls” has been playing in the club for a minute and I had no idea it was Mike Epps. (Shows how much I know…right?) The video is finally out and I can’t stop laughing. I’m sooooo mad I like this song so much – especially since I’m *cough* having “issues” with my weight but I’m even more mad that I saw one of my outfits on one of the Big Girls in the video.
