When Barack Obama and Michelle Robinson tied the knot on Oct. 3, 1992, the 31-year-old future president was as a lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School, and had worked on a voter registration drive throughout that election year.

Mrs. Obama appeared on the “Today” show where she discussed a number of issues, including President Obama’s job performance, how he kicked the smoking habit and whether her husband dyes his grey hair. She also spoke about not letting her daughters on the social network site Facebook.
North Point Church in Alpharetta was Obama’s first stop, where crowds lined the streets to hear her speak . The speech was carried live on Letsmove.gov, Mrs. Obama’s site about her healthy eating campaign.
She also visited Burgess-Peterson Academy, a public elementary school in East Atlanta, to tout the school’s work on promoting healthy eating.
