Where oh where is Lil Jon when you need him??? President Bill Clinton was in dire need of some Crunk Juice yesterday as he was caught dozing during an event at Convenat Avenue Baptist Church in Harlem.? Like…for real…give the man a break!? Hillary has him campaigning his ass off and he’s not even running!
…and sometimes speeches are just?borning! I almost fell asleep during the MLK event at Ebenezer Baptist Church on Monday and I was watching it on T.V.!?? I?got crunk?when Bernice King started rapping though….that really made my day!
I received a press release today regarding Pezo In Da Cribb from Atlanta?s Hot 107.9….I?think you have to say the whole thing kinda like “a pimp named slickback“…? Anyway, Pezo In Da Cribb and Yung Joc got together over the holidays and decided to “Make it Rain in Da Hood” by?giving away money to the homeless and underprivileged.?
Make?It Rain In Da Hood is not only about?passing out dollar bills to those in need, but it’s also about your money making a difference in a person’s life, which in turn brings personal satisfaction. Pezo In Da Cribb will continue his campaign each week with future plans to give away various items such as food, shoes, toiletries and clothing.
What struck me more than the compassion and creativity of Peza in Da Cribb was how dayum?cute he is in that dang picture.? I was mesmerized for a few seconds until I had a flashback about this dream nightmare I had that Taye Diggs?was vacuuming my floor naked with a broomvac…(I?ate late that night!)
Awwww…how sweet is this? I got this video today and I just wanted to share it! It’s a video montage of hip hop stars and sports figures with their children. 50 cent, T.I., Snoop, Lil Jon, Carmelo Anthony, JaRule, Allen Iverson, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, Andre 3000, Big Boi, Dame Dash….and more!
Don’t sleep.? Atlanta is representing HARD in this year’s Grammy nominations.? Included in the list are several Atlanta Transplants as well as some home grown A-T-L-iens.?? I am so?proud of our city!? We have the music game on LOCK right now…
“Toomp killed this?$ish….”~ Kanye West in?”Big Brother”?
Kanye West is leading the pack with eight nominations this year.? While considering his nomination, you can’t forget the contribution of A-Town native (and my favorite “play play” baby daddy) DJ Toomp, who produced several of my favorite tracks from that album (Big Brother, Can’t Tell Me Nothing, Good Life)!? Toomp keep “killin ’em” !
Cee-Lo (of Gnarles Barkley)? ?????? Darius “the Dream” Nash
We also have former Goodie Mob-er Cee-Lo in the nomination as part of the group Gnarles Barkley for a short film video titled “Gone Daddy Gone” and Terius “the Dream” Nash just earned his first Grammy nomination ? for “Umbrella” ? a week before his first CD, “Love Hate,” hits stores.
Another ATL favorite, T.I. is also up for three awards including best album and Atlanta transplants Ne-Yo and T-Pain also have a good representation in this year’s noms.
Leading local contenders with five nominations were Ne-Yo (record of of the year for penning Beyonc?’s “Irreplaceable”) and T-Pain. T-Pain’s nominations included two in one category ? best rap/sung collaboration. The College Park resident born Faheem Najm currently appears on four singles on Billboard’s Top 10 pop listing, so the Thursday morning announcement from L.A. “was just icing.” (Source)
