Just last week Jussie Smollett hit the tweets hinting that he may not be returning to Empire (click HERE if you missed that).

In a video uploaded to social media last night, Jussie and co-star Gabourey Sidibe, discuss the the situation and now, the popular star has offered a ‘clarification’ of his words.

It was revealed last night on the Empire season finale that Jamal Lyon lived after being shot by Freda Gatz.

Jamal’s cryptic tweets were clearly his attempt at tricking us into believing a beloved character was killed off only to later reveal he wasn’t.

The show surely wouldn’t kill off its prodigal son, would it?

Well… as expected, Jamal is backtracking and states that y’all should have ‘listened to his words’ because he didn’t actually SAY he was leaving…
