Love & Hip Hop New York returned to the airwaves last night and unfortunately, I refuse to add another reality show to my viewing list.
Call it… reality show overload… post reality show traumatic stress syndrome… whatever… but I just refuse to watch it. So unless I hear word that it’s so dayum good that I can’t resist. I’m just not gonna do it.
But this isn’t about me… it’s about Love & Hip Hop New York… 😯
The original series returns with a total cast makeover. Gone are LHHNY’s most interesting characters, Chrissy, Emily & Somaya, who are replaced by new blood.

The entire event was focused on Vick’s lucky number “7”. Even the address of the event (777 South Broad Street) was all part of Team Vick’s “777” theme.
The event took place on the 7th of the month and the party started at 7 p.m.
The cocktail fundraiser was for the Vicks’ foundation “Team Vick,” which is committed to supporting people in need, especially the youth.

Two weeks ago, a friend sent author and media commentator Sabrina Lamb a clip of Oxygen’s upcoming one-hour reality TV special ‘All My Babies’ Mamas’
and she was reportedly shocked by what she saw.

Lamb, who works full-time with underserved youth in the New York City area, was furious and utterly disgusted. She was so shocked, in fact, that she decided to protest against the new reality show.
According it’s the press release, the show promises to highlight the life of rapper Shawty Lo, his 11 kids and their 10 mothers, and to chronicle what happens when “the man of the house has to split his affection multiple ways while trying to create order.”
Lamb says she was tired of seeing the Black family portrayed negatively on reality TV, and felt was the show was a blatant use of child-exploitation to market TV programming, so she immediately took action to speak out against it.

Nene Leakes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and her “fake” ex-hubby Gregg hit up The Wendy Williams Show earlier today.
The couple is making the rounds after their cleverly planned engagement that occurred on New Year’s Eve, and may even be prepping for a new Nene & Greg wedding special.

Nene makes a point to mention Kenya & Walter’s odd exchange from last night’s episode, stating:
“I think it was a good acting scene. I almost believed them. I was like, ‘where’s the script’?
Nene also takes the opportunity to roast Kenya and Walter’s play play romance:
I’ve been a housewife of Atlanta for 5 seasons, I’m going into my 6th season and everything we do on the show is legit. We are not scripted. We are real and what you see is what really happens on the show.
To look at Kenya and Walter and to know they did something that is unethical to our franchise… I think it is awful.

And because she’s the “last original housewife standing,” Nene says she has no plans on leaving the franchise anytime soon.
