Usher Raymond has officially decided to “postpone” his 2013 “Euphoria” European tour.
It was announced late yesterday the Usher Euphoria Tour in Europe, which was scheduled to begin in January 2013, would be rescheduled for late autumn 2013.
As you know, the superstar R&B singer was recently awarded primary custody of his two young sons and while Raymond issued a statement that his decision was based on his children, but inside sources say that it was poor ticket sales that prompted the push back.

Usher’s camp issued announcement issued to european venues contained the following information:
Due to professional and personal commitments Usher has had to reschedule his upcoming European tour dates.
With his recently confirmed commitment to the Voice, to ensure that his fans worldwide are treated to the best possible concert experience, the entire tour will be rescheduled to 2013 when both the North America and European dates will run together.
Raymond also issued the following personal statement to his disappointed fans:
The feeling of euphoria that I get when performing for you is indescribable. I love each and every one of you and thank you for being there every step of the way.
I truly appreciate and am grateful for your support while I take this time to focus on my children and continue to evolve with my fans. (source)

Actually the tickets went on sale on sept. 21st, his tweeter team was telling people tickets were available. And his stans were mad that they had bought tickets…. Not sure if a week is enough to decide sales were too low but they were on sale.

When in fact they had ALREADY gone on sale regardless if it was some cities or all cites. Presale started the 18th, general sale the 20th. Tour was originally scheduled for jan-feb.

@Janet – correct! Pre-sales should have sold out but they didn’t. Hence the decision to cancel. Do you know how much it COSTS to put on a European tour? Trust me when I tell you, the only reason it was postponed was so that all of this custody battle drama could die down and give them more time to promote and get the sales up.

igg-zackly! he just signed on to do The Voice so he could be home with the kids (especially with the new custody arrangements). There will be an adjustment period for all of them so I think his decision to postpone the tour was based solely on doing what’s best for his children considering all they’ve been through this year.

If it is true that he had low ticket sales, which I seriously doubt,that’s not helping Tameka’s stance not one bit. At least with him touring, his resident is still in Atlanta. Lets just say something happens and he becomes a permanent replacement at the Voice. He may just decide to move their with his kids, which I’m sure she doesn’t want. The last name of someone famous get you in certain doors, I have seen it happen a bunch of times. In LA people "name drop" all the time. My dad/husband/brother is so and so. If he was Usher Raymond postal worker, I bet she would be calling herself Foster. I was always raised that when the marriage ends, you cut ties to me and give the name back. That is still your child whether you have the same last name or not.

I read on dailyfiance.com that 40% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. I think many people need to focus more on their finaces than what their fav celeb is doing if they are in that 40%. Well they say ever man has his breaking point, I guessed he reached his. He says she played fast n loose with the kids when she had primary custody; which is the reason why he took things to court. If what he says is true and I loved my kids more than money than I would have taken her to court as well. My neighbor doesn’t let her ex-husband see the children when he is supposed to because he broke her heart. At the same time she complains how she doesn’t get a moments rest. She doesn’t realize the damage she is doing because she can’t look past her own pain. Sometime adults just need to do what is best for the child and go to therapy (or buy a bottle and cry it out)
I don’t think he expected the backlash to be what it was. I think he thought they’d follow him through anything. If Grace is indeed behind it, she’s something else. She looks like she could be conniving, but since she stays in the background there’s no way of really telling that. Haven’t heard anyone talk about any encounters with her one way or the other.

As far as ticket sales, so what if they were poor. The best professional and financial decision would be to cancel. Many artist do it but everyone wants to have a reason to hate. Jay-Z, R-Kelly, etc..And if you don’t know with his kids being there, he really had no reason to continue. Before he would of did it for his fans and his fans are still important but his kids come first. That was a stellar decision in my book. (I am still not buying his records). As far as the voice, don’t watch (many don’t know), guess what..the show will still be a success because no one is watching it for Usher. Its for the contestants they love and want to support. Which brings me to my next move. Get the gig and do well on the voice will boost ticket sales so I would of cancelled as well. The boy aint no dummy!

A.W.I am not a Usher fan, I don’t even listen to this new age crap. I jog to Gospel. There are certain influences I just don’t let in my house. Not saying his music is bad but I don’t listen to Rihanna, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, etc. Just not my cup of tea. Its kinda like the President. If you take 10 people that don’t like him in a room of 25 and show his biography, they can turn that whole room and vice versa. I am just saying that due to everyones opinion of him, people are assuming the worse when in fact he hasn’t did anything any other man has done. He is capable of taking care of them children, can provide financially better, etc. So its in their best interest to just get along. And I don’t know about overexpose, thats just your opinion. I say give him chance or leave him alone. If he is not a good fit, it will show.
We have the same tastes in music. I bought Trey Songz latest and regretted it. Way too much profanity (should’ve gotten the clean version). CBs is trash and Rhi can’t sing. It’s not Usher’s best, but LFM was decent, simply because I got the delux version. My friend didn’t, and she was none too happy lol. All the good R&B songs were on the delux.
