After Tia Mowry was fired (or quit depending on who you ask), BET put out a search for a younger couple to replace she and Pooch Hall (Derwin Davis), who also left the cast.

London, the actress fondly known as “New-New” from ATL has been hired to play one of the new characters BET was seeking to refresh the cast of the popular sitcom.

According to Rodney Ho of the AJC, Lauren will join the cast as “Kiera”, a former child star currently in a “Cosby”-esque sitcom, for the sixth season.
The show is reportedly still seeking a male lead to star opposite London. The male addition will play an educated, all-star running back a’la Derwin Davis.
Losing its biggest name could be a major blow to a sitcom that has been losing ratings steam since it moved to BET and Atlanta last year. Opening at a monstrous 7.7 million viewers in early 2011, “The Game” was pulling in around 2 to 2.5 million viewers in the second half of the most recent season.
London nabbed her first major film role in 2006 as the the romantic lead opposite T.I. on the film “ATL.” She was Turtle’s girlfriend on “Entourage” in 2007. She has also been in films “This Christmas,” “Next Day Air,” “I Love You, Beth Cooper” and “Madea’s Big Happy Family.”

I will not be watching this show anymore.
While I am glad that she has a job, i am just disappointed in her brand in general. i remember many years ago when she came out on stage with Diddy at a BET awards show just as her star was rising. He said that she was a role model to young women out there and i believed that she could be…beautiful, classy, etc. but yeah, we know how that story ends. traded her potential for a guy…im sure she loves her son but her stock went WAY down.
The Game could afford her, Tia deserves more!
I love lauren london, i truly do. But, she can NEVER replace tia as melanie. And no one can ever relpane pooch as darwin. They were the game. The show was mostly focused around them. How are you gonna replace the star players (no pun intended). I kind of stopped watching after they let brittany (kelly) go and replaced the other brittany (erica gluck). Im a little sad. Because i used to love the game before they started making all these changes. But hey…thats hollywood.
I think she will fit in great!
Lauren London is a beautiful woman, but I don’t see her bringing any excitement to the show.

It is said to say, but BET didn’t know what they were doing from the start. It is said to say but BET isn’t what it used to be, this show when on UPN ( New York) needed off on some many good notes; and yet the Bet messed it up.

No offense, but Tia was sort is D-list when first got cast. I will give lauren a chance, but the actors have not been the problem, it has been the horrible writing!!!!!!

I’m not feeling Lauren London replacing Tia Mowry-Hardict. And what about her recurring role on Single Ladies? This is a mess.
I think she’s a very pretty young lady but she’s not on Tia’s caliber as far as an actress. Plus, it’s hard for an actress to come in and try to live up to a previous actress in a role that’s already been established.

I’ve stopped watching the game after season 3, so it really doesn’t bother me. But it is a shock that Tia and pooch hall won’t return.
It won’t be the same without Tia and Pooch. They better start off the season with some hard core drama with Lauren, because if she has weak lines and poor acting no one will watch again after the first show. Step it up writers! Matter of fact…bring back the writers of season 1 and 2. These new writers SUCK!
Tia and Pooch really made the show, they both have morals. BET made a bad decision to fire Tia, and allowing Pooch to walk away…the show’s already suffering rating will show next Fall as Tia’s loyal fans stop watching. Most fans were only watching to see them two, even with the failing ratings.

OMG! Why didn’t they ask Tamara (Tia’s sister) to do it? LOL! But seriously, Laura is not that great of an actress for a lead role in this show. She is great at being herself…a hood chick (exactly like the characters she been playin in her previous movies). Tasha and her family is all the hood we need on the show, can we please get balance among the characters so that it aint all hood? Chardonnay, Tasha, Pookie, and now Lauren who i know gon be some kind of hood character…bye BET!

It is true Tia and Pooch will be missed producers of the game you need to think about what you are doing you messed up twice before,
when you let Kelly go and change the daughter.Ms London will be a good actress not good enough to become lead. And for her boyfriend ask T.I Micheal Ealey or Chris Brown
I doubt this show will have as many viewers as before. I guess my next fave couple will be Brandy & Jason . Tsk , this sucks.
This show is ridiculous, I dont blame anyone but the writers and the producers, they claim the prducers are the same and everyone is the same if this is the case why are so many people complaining that it sucks and that there has been a change that nobody can seem to fix? just cancel it, please those who fought to get this show back fought a vain battle because this show lacks soooo much! Just cancel it, the ratings will continue to decline , L.L cant act and the new kid shes with, you just cant do that with a show that started off with a certain message….how dare BET…..lame
