The Baltimore McDonald’s worker who claims to have the winning Mega Millions ticket, refuses to produce it at this time.
Mirlande Wilson made headlines when she came forward claiming she was the holder of one of 3 jackpot winning tickets sold across the country last week but she was ridiculed after her co-workers at a local McDonald’s restaurant claimed they deserved a share of the winnings because they were part of a lottery pool.

Wilson, a single mother of 7, appeared in an interview yesterday rocking her new weave and still maintains that the money is all hers.
Details + video of Mirlande Wilson’s interview below…
The woman told WPTV her co-workers have copies of all the tickets bought with the pool money, adding she had asked a friend to buy a separate ticket for her.
“McDonald’s don’t have nothing to do with this,” Wilson told WPTV. “They don’t have nothing to do with — they don’t even know about it and they don’t even have nothing to do with this … It’s only us by ourself (sic).”
Three lottery tickets sold in Kansas, Illinois and Maryland hit the record-breaking $640 million jackpot. Each winning ticket was expected to be worth more than $213 million before taxes.
The reporter asked Wilson if he could see the winning ticket but she politely declined to show it to him. She did, however show hil copies of the tickets purchased for the McDonald employees’ lottery pool and claims she gave all of the employees in the pool a copy as well, maintaining that the winning ticket was purchased separately.
In Maryland, the winning ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven store in Milford Mill, near Baltimore. Maryland does not require lottery winners to be publicly identified and the Mega Millions winner can claim the prize anonymously.
But so far lottery officials have confirmed that no one has produced the winning ticket.
“We’ve heard it’s somebody’s cousin, we heard it’s somebody who works up the street, the guy who mows the lawn, the lady at the McDonald’s,” lottery official Carole Everett told WPTV.
“None of these claims matter until a ticket is produced”, she said.
The interview was conducted in Wilson’s b-more home and it’s clear that the millions will forever change her way of life.

She might want to call Phaedra…
Well thats why in the office pool you make photocopies, so there will be no discrepencies or a reason for people to trip, they can look on that piece and paper and see what tickets were bought did not win the lottery. So what she bought a ticket on the side, its hers with her own money and not part of the pool. She needs to be left alone.
well if the chick do have the ticket and i do mean if, than its hers lol…idk why people do those dumb pools anyway knowing this ish right here happens…and she’s black to, baby aint giving up them coins without a fight lol…so court you’ll be employees…and no phaedra if you would like to win ha!!!
shawn you showed yo ass fo that comment lol
Just last week a similar story about a office pool with lottery winning for cleared in court. The judge made them split the money because it was no proof that the person didn’t buy the winning ticket with the office pool money. If she had the winning ticket she should have had a family member or someone close to turn it in. That’s why I would"t be involved in a lottery pool. Now I"m just saying cause money between friends/co-workers it always a problem.
she will be on those dreadful lottery horror story shows in 18months! stingy for no reason…she was just working at mcdonalds. A winning cash 5 woulda put her back in the game. Now she acting grand. Greed gets you now where. Keep an eye on this one and watch what I tell ya!
I’m say it, she didn’t hit! Where is the friend that bought the ticket for her?!?! your 15 mins are up…
What people dont realize is that no one is going to get paid if they are fighting over the money. While people are in arbitration the cash is not distributed. What they should have done, as most offices do, is photocopy the tickets that were purchased for the office. That way no one can change their story saying no I bought this one myself.
I would more likely believe her story if she didnt give conflicting reports of the situation and could remember her actions more clearly. She is going to be a tragic lotto story, because she is getting death threats from the co workers
Truthfully IF she did in fact win.. is it really worth all this? After taxes she is getting 107 Million IF she really won. You mean to tell me, you are that selfish that you couldn’t say look – I bought this ticket it’s not from the pool but I am willing to give you "x" amount of dollars. If they take it cool if not take your broke azz back to slangin them burgers.
okay im getting conflicting stories, did they officially declare her a winner? cause they are saying a guy purchased a single ticket and won here in Maryland
Only she knows the truth and if she cheats people out of money they are owed. She will get what she deserves. Hello haven’t y’all seen the show the lottery ruined my life!
this is gonna hold up the other winner #staightupbull
I think she’s lying!!!
3 ppl won, and she wrong for that, they want out of Mickey D’s just like her
Who cares! It was’nt me!….@#$%$@!
People jumping to conclusions about this mega mess. She could very well be telling the truth. Especially if she gave copies of the purchased tickets to everyone at the McDonald’s. Oh well
she sound and looks like she is lying , and she looks a hot mess with all that damn hair .. i cant stand ppl like her
Jiffawni, she’s claiming she sent a friend to buy her another ticket so that could be why the story sounds so crazy
It’s a lot of money either way. The wrong way to go into coming into money is with greed. She will have no good come to her that way. I didn’t even play in a pool and I told my bosses that if I won we’d all retire. I meant it too! You just can’t act ugly for free, there is a penalty.
The story per the NY Post says the store’s owner gave her $5 for his buy-in for the office pool. If she bought tickets (for the with his money), she should have made copies and gave them to everyone. Now the burden of proof is on her to prove she didn’t use his money to purchase the winning ticket and the lawyers will get their cut before any of them see a dime. It’s just too suspicious. Just split $105M with the office pool – then everyone can be a millionaire.
I believe her. Any smart person would have played seperate. She should donate to the employees that played with her but that money belongs to her and nobody else
And she paid for it with her $1.00 then that makes it hers
With 7 kids and working at McDonalds, I’m a lil baffled as to why she haven’t turned her ticket in…the last thing I would be doing is talking to the media….”give me my money 1st”
i wouldn’t have told a thing. would have played it cool. came into work and been like” we didn’t win ya’l”l. went to that lottery office and claimed anonymous for protection that monday. continued to work for an addtl month and would mysteriously leave afterwards.
well wether she wants to or not, she is going to share her winnings if she is really holding one of the winning tickets!
She isn’t the winner. This woman is acting like she has a few screws loose and if she’s a winner I’m surprised none of her family have told her to claim the money so you don’t lose the ticket. Of course she has 7 kids from 7 dads so she can’t be that smart lolololololo.
Be blessed and share it! Please let the truth come out.so, if the friend went to go buy the ticket is sharing with the friend..hmmm..ijs
If is the operative here. If she purchased the winning ticket, under these circumstances, she will def lose in court. That type of case has already been tested & the clamants won, hands down! The person being sued is going to pay all attorney fees & the Karma of being a shady douche bag!
What’s funny to me is she MIGHT be telling the truth. And she MIGHT have considered helping out her coworkers by giving them something anyway …. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. I can only imagine the service at that McDonalds must be terrible today knowing she will walk away from there and they are stuck working fries. .
if they bought it in a pool then the some number on the tickiet will correspond that is what happened in another case like this
When you purchase as a group you give them copies before, she did that , so the extra ticket is hers
I believe her 100% how would she have known that was the winning ticket , just her luck . Congratulation.
I have a strange feeling she is going to end up dead.
Everything done in secret will come into the light.Hmmm..I see she got her head did, so she maybe holding out. If you do not have to disclose your name in the Maryland Lotto, how will the employees know if she has the money? Lady, if you have the ticket, share with those folk and save your children from grief and heartache..please, people will act a fool about some money.Stop talking to the media and all parties involved need to get an attorney, if they have not already.Mega Mess is right!
Well, if it’s a separate ticket, it’s a separate ticket. No harm, no foul.
She should have kept herself anonymous!!!!!!!
If they were getting anything there is no chance in that now … Good going LOL
the latest info says they did photocopy the tickets which is beyond common sense..at some point she has to provide that ticket or forfeit after 182 days from what i’ve read for Maryland
She looks like she’s not good with her finances either, she’ll blow through all that money.
If she don’t give up some of that cheese, they gone fuck her up! LOL
what I would like to know is why the ticket has not been turned over to lottery officials if she has the winning ticket. looks like she could use the money asap.
I wonder if this chick know she puttin her life in danger by doing that? McDonald’s employees??? They all want some of that money to get up and out of food service. And they probably know where she lives. Leave it to a greedy person of color. And this is why we can rarely come together to accomplish anything.
I knew she was black, before I read the story. She’s going to have to share that money. There is no way to prove the ticket wasn’t in the original batch, or the money that she paid for the ticket was hers. I don’t care how many copies she made; she took a ticket for herself out of the batch. This is not uncommon; every time the ticket holder ends up paying everybody! When I first read this story, my first though was, she’s being greedy! Wait for the lawsuits to happen…she’s going to waste her money on lawyers! Lol
Point blank, if she gave the other participants copies of the tickets purchased with the pool’s money and the winning ticket is not among them, the money is hers. They got the copies prior to the drawing and accepted those numbers as their own.
Crazy as she looks and sounds, she might be telling the truth. After all, even a broken clock is right twice a day.
If she purchased tickets for a pool, photocopied the purchased tickets, and gave each purchaser a copy of the photocopied tickets….then the cash prize is hers.
Unfortunately, the *pool* group CAN hold her winning ticket in court for a long time. IF she has the actual winning ticket, she should have gone back to McDonald’s, worked and kept her mouth shut.
She could have set the winnings up in a trust.
Stupid, just Stupid. Personally, I have no desire to have 100 million bucks. I’d keep a small amount and share the rest. Even better than winning the money would be bringing joy to my family and friends.
If she provided photocopies and gave it to everybody before the announcement, then I don’t see why they would be sweating her unless she gave them this copies afterwards, that would be the only way I would trip, those 15 people just want that 13 mil they would have gotten if it was a part of the pool, its one way to solve it I think, why won’t they just look at the cameras or the time on the ticket, if she came back and bought it a different time she shouldn’t be held accountable for what they believe was part of the office pool
