I told y’all when that bogus book came out that I didn’t believe a word of it… and guess what? Neither does the rest of the world.
The electronic book to a drastic nosedive to #15030 on Amazon’s Kindle sellers list after word of mouth spread about the poorly written e-book’s contents and it looks like people have decided to save their ten bux.
Vibe, who happens to be the publisher of Stanton’s “memoirs,” is also covering their “A”zzes by issuing “clarification” on incorrect statements made by Stanton in that video taped infomercial that’s been circulating to garner sales for the book.

In a statement released on their site, Vibe issued the following “clarification” statement regarding Staton’s book, Lies of a Real Housewife: Tell the Truth and Shame the Devil
VIBE would like to state a clarification on the matter regarding the video interview released on VIBE.com on March 15th, 2012. In the first clip (of three), Ms. Stanton refers to an individual involved in the criminal scheme described in the book, as the brother of Apollo [Phaedra’s husband].
It appears as if Everett and Apollo are not related by blood and Ms. Stanton refers to Everett as Apollo’s “street brother” in her book.
The statements made in the video clips were made by Ms. Stanton in a figurative manner and not in literal terms.
I suspect that statement is just the first of many “clarifications” to come regarding Stanton’s book.
Tamara Tattles also details quite a few inconsistencies involving Stanton’s memoirs and notes that I’m not the only one Stanton has snubbed for an interview….
Meanwhile, Hiphopenquirer.com is reporting that Stanton backed out of their interview after she requested a list of questions up front.
This seems counter-productive to getting the truth out there, doesn’t it?
HHE also called the music executive that Stanton claims raped her in the book. He claims that Stanton has in fact tried to extort her in this way in the past for money. In the book Stanton says she was afraid to press charges, but now apparently she feels comfortable making a public accusation now. READ MORE
Fans are divided about Stanton’s statements and I’ve caught a ton of flack for standing my ground or being “biased” as y’all call it. But I agree with Stanton on at least one point…. the TRUTH will reveal itself eventually.

Somebody from Vibe is gonna get canned behind this mess and they should.
I could have told them this wasn’t gonna sell. Phaedra has gained fans so of course they certainly wouldn’t buy the book – and the ones that don’t like her don’t care about her enough to spend $10 on a book from an ex-con who clearly has a motive.
People love or hate NeNe – if her book was about NeNe it might(and I stress the word MIGHT) have sold.
People love or dislike Phaedra, but they don’t hate her – that won’t sell.

So Angela called Everett Apollo’s brother. How does that make her a liar? Incorrect perhaps but not a liar since I’m guessing that that is what they referred to the two men as on the streets. The book not selling hotly is more likely do to Vibe’s promotion or the lack thereof of the book, and the fact that it’s a Kindle read, it doesn’t prove that Angela is lying about Fakedra. In fact, I’m willing to bet that this is way from over and we will be hearing about Fakedra’s shadiness again soon. So Ms. Atlien, don’t start fist-pumping yet. You’ve been around long enough to know how these things play out. Once someone else hits that hot button on Fakedra, and they will, Ms. Angela’s book will take off and so will Fakedra- don’t be left with egg on your face Ms. Atlien.
We know that you will never believe anything bad someone says about Fakedra. She is just as scandalous as the other housewives.

Well this doesn’t change the fact that Apollow and his homies did some long time in prison and that Apollo had all those aliases e.g. Brandon Phillips, William Spearman, and Corey Thomas. They tried to give him 18 years. You don’t get a sentence like that unless you did some hardcore theiving and Phaedra knew him since highschool? Please! Its not that no one believe her. From some of the things she has said and done on RHOA, I don’t think she is on the up and up but who really owns Kindles? And if you do, is reading about Phaedra really worth 10 bucks?

I read the book and it’s damn good and extremely believable. I liked Phaedra but I always felt something was off about her, but after reading this book it makes TOTAL sense. Like many politicians, Phaedra is a CLASSIC sociopath. She has superficial charm, thinks people are to be used (and uses the "weak" to do her dirty work while keeping her hands clean), a compulsive liar (we see this on the show), reports of her being a freak, etc..
Why haven’t you reported about Phaedra having to surrender her law license?

The book may have plummeted, but jumping up to #67 in it’s first week is DAMN good. They just need to do more promotion and turn it into a paperback. A lot of people still don’t like reading books online.

First of all VIBE is smart enough to NEVER put that book in any type of printable format. The Kindle version can be altered because the file is not "owned" by any individual computer. In order to purchase a book on Kindle you have to register with Amazon who sends the purchased file to your Kindle enabled device (be it a phone, kindle, ipad etc).
If there are ever any issues in the book that need "updating" like cover shots, photos, text, ect. it can be done electronically without the knowledge of the consumer.
Catch a clue folks, Vibe and this convict are both in it for the money. Vibe went bankrupt just a few years ago and Stanton is their bonafide meal ticket. They are trying to make as much money in as little time as possible. And the electronic book protects them because they can change the "facts" as quickly as they are "read".

People it’s one thing not to want to read an e-book, but not having a Kindle is not an excuse to buy the book if you want it – they have Kindle apps that you can download to your smartphone and to your PC for free – if not having a Kindle is your only barrier then it’s one that can easily be torn down (if you have a computer, tablet, or smart phone).
I still contend that nobody is gonna buy this book – She is not a polarizing figure. Sara Palin is a polarizing figure. Case in point -Now, I don’t hate anybody but I REALLY don’t like that woman. I just read a 700 page book that was in part devoted to her because I disliked her enough to want solidify my belief that the woman is stupid. I wouldn’t buy a book about Phaedra because #1 Truth or not the chick that wrote the book is a trifling opportunist; and #2 I will read about Phaedra on a blog all day, but she doesn’t affect me to the point I want to spend my money. Of course there are nosy people that are nosy just for the sake of being nosy, but I dare say several people fit into the same category as I do.
If Mrs. Nada is shady it will come out and the book might increase in sales for a minute, but then it will die – and let’s face it – this Angela chick isn’t the brightest bulb in the drawer so I doubt the proceeds from this project will yield any long term financial gain.
