Burruss was joined on the show by ?uestlove and Chef Roble and the real “housewife” discussed several subjects including Sheree’s Who Gon’ Check Me Boo, to Xscape….
She even hinted about her new relationship, stating:
“I’m currently happy in a relationship with a man.”

On what she thought of Sheree Whitfield’s Who Gon’ Check Me Boo song, Kandi admits that she hadn’t even bothered to listen to it. When forced to listen to it on the show, Kandi said she considered the tune “a novelty song” and agreed with Andy that the song is about 3 years too late.

As for you fans hoping for an Xscape reunion… give it up. Kandi said helllll no! (actually she just said no but still…)
Kandi admits that the group has a few irreconcilable differences and while she still speaks to Tameka “Tiny” Cottle (Harris), she has not spoken to the other two members of the group, sisters LaTocha Scott and Tamika Scott. in years.
Wondering why the group disbanded in the first place? Well apparently Tameka Scott blasted Kandi for sexing producer Jermaine Dupri, by spilling the beans during an on air interview back in the day.
Kandi spoke about the situation a few years ago, stating that was the main reason why she would NEVER reunite with the group:
When she [Tameka Scott] did that it was really kinda foul to me and that’s really the reason why I would never go back to the group because when somebody just straight lies… and then she tried to add some whole other stuff that was totally false.
When I had talked to her after it happened and she called to apologize to me, I said you know what, you call and apologizing to me but you went on radio in NEW YORK to say this about me so everything that you put out there, nobody knows you apologizing right now.
Apologize publicly if you want me to take this seriously. Don’t say it to me after you done put all this craziness out there about me.
I know all about that apologizing in private mess and I’m totally with Kandi on that one.
As far as Kandi sleeping with Dupri, yeah it happened… but she said it was a test. She wanted to find out if JD was really “all that” in bed like he claimed to be.
But just like anybody, sometimes you can work with people and you be like, hmm I wonder how he is in the bedroom, you know, and you just try it out… we hung out, we was friends, like playing pool, talking trash and then you know you hear somebody say yeah I’m a beast, I’m this, I’m that, you know how you can be around your friends talking about sex or whatever and then you be thinking like, I wonder is it that good, you know?
Let’s be realistic, it wasn’t me trying to get anything out of the situation. We already had hit records. We already had hits. It wasn’t like I was trying to do it to get somewhere. It was just out of curiosity. (source)
Kandi has clearly moved on from those Xscape days and so has Tiny…. but it wouldn’t hurt for Xscape to reunite.
I’m sure Tameka and LaTocha wouldn’t mind….

Naaaa.Kandie has moved on from that.No need lookin’ back and hurting from pain no apology can make you regret. Besides,most of Kandie’s success came from her individual accomplishments. She really never was recognized as anything other than an Xscape member,and it seems,one treated poorly.Now if the girls want to do some Xscape tunes they should find a Kandie replacement and pay Kandie to write and produce a lil’ sumpin’.Now it’s probably gonna cost more than they made from their hits,but hey,biz is biz.
I LOVED xscape they were one of the best groups of the 90′s. Their music is still great twenty years later ( well almost twenty). I have wondered what the Scott sisters are up too.

@reita they actually did try do it sans Kandi. They added a replacement and Tiny was even on board. They came out with a song…yeah so you know that wasnt successful. They also stopped working with JD and sometimes when a group and producer (ie Janet, jam and Lewis) create hits together- don’t screw with it

the scott sister went on the radio talking about Kandi slept with JD and his dad or brother or something like that…so yea she slept w/ him but she added on a whole lot of stuff…Kandi does her thing and is prolly more caked up than all of them…with her OWN money!!!!
FORGET KANDI mbrown what about QUESTLOVE. His thighs look like ham hocks. I remember a few years back he said he was going vegan, did that stop? Does he have a thryroid problem or diabetes.

tiny CANT do Xsacpe now. TI is so controlling. He is letting her do the nail bar bc that is local. singing would require her to do studio not at home but in town, plus perhaps travel to studios to work with other producers. Then for the music there is the promo tour and TI wont allow that.
For the person stating that she is holding grudges, how would you feel if someone you considered a friend got on the radio in NYC no less and told your business?
Regardless of whether or not it was true, it was NOT her business to tell, and definitely shouldn’t have been aired to 5 million people.
Kandi is doing the right thing. You can forgive, but never forget. You don’t give someone a 2nd chance to do you wrong.

Actually Xscape did have a reunion song or CD out a few years ago. I do know Kandi was not on the track that I did hear. I think that CD was called "Unchained."
Not surprising at all. I read somewhere that she was the reason for the group breaking up due to her wanting her own solo career. They even claimed she was getting it in with JD to give her some tracks. Nasty azz!

It’s funny, I have all of Xcapes albums and the ones that I thought could blow were the Scott sisters. To me, Kandi was a non fing factor. Her voice was course and not good!! I don’t see why she’s acting like she made the group. HAVE PLENTY SEATS!!!

The Scott sisters really can sing. They need to get them an album together. Forget Tiny and Kandi because neither of them were good singers in the group to me. However they are both good writers. Kandi doesn’t have to do the reunion, but she needs to let that grudge go. She did sleep with him and how many years ago was that. C’mon man, move on….

Ever notice hoes always be somewhere salty forever when someone tells it? Does she think JD wasn’t telling anyone? Girl, sit. Everybody knows Kandi wanted to be THE star of the group and if she’s anywhere near as thirsty for validation as she comes across now, I don’t doubt she was trying to do more than "try it out". Not sure how I’d feel if I thought my kitty kat game would put me on top and it blew up the whole group instead.
