The photo above is currently circulating on the social networking site Twitter. I have no idea of it’s origin but it’s apparent that the girls in it are pretty young…. and pretty PREGNANT!
I wrote a post a while ago about 90 Teens Pregnant at one Tennessee high school (click HERE if you missed it), so the imagery of a group of knocked up teens, while shocking, isn’t THAT surprising.
“Amber Cole” was just the beginning! This should be a warning shot that if we don’t take the wheel and steer our teens in another direction… THIS is what will be the norm.

Unfortunately this is the next generation of under class. Where does this end? When did getting pregnant without marriage become so tolerated?
I saw when DreamHampton RT this. It reminds me of the Lifetime true story of the girls that made a pregnancy pact.
This is so sad and stupid!

I think the failure is on us grown folk. I say this because none of us are trying to find the real root cause. I’m not talking about these petty assumptions that blame institutions; but us as parents, relatives, and community members actually sitting down, spending time, and relating to the youth. I think most want some to listen and at least try to understand. That’s all.

teenage pregnancy has been going on for ages…ask yourselves and check family records…how many of your parents were teens when you all were born???…it didnt just start…i’m not for or against it…life happens
@Shad – Yes, it’s true that teenage pregnancy is not new. However, glorifying it and publicizing it is definitely new. Children are beautiful, but children having children is definitely not cute.
@Shad Teenage pregnancy by a pack of friends & intentional is NEW!! Most teens that do this is not feeling love at home, so are you showing love for your kids at home although their hormones are raging during this difficult time.. They don’t want to listen but you have to make your relationship work.. We are living in a different day & time, kids see too much & know much more as decades go by.. Parents are home less and involved in their kids life.. We can’t be defensive when it is the truth.. We can’t help the economy is so bad that we have to work to put food on the table, provide shelter, clothing, and the pure necessities of life for our children.. This bring a emotional void in their lives as we’re doing the very best we can because we love and want the best for them..
We still need to know who their friends are and what they are talking about on the phone and what they are doing on the computer.. It really go back to the saying "an idle mind is the devil’s workshop".. We have to do better as a community somehow, someway.. This is just terrible..

it’s a da.n shame im from memphis so im aware of the problems with teen pregnancy these GIRLS just don’t get it they think getting pregnant is glamorous.. a lot of them get pregnant early just to prove they’re women but they’re not women they are girls who got pregnant early age.. they think having babies and playing dress up the babies like barbie dolls is cute..we’ll see how cute it is when they can’t provide for their babies and have to live years on the system with welfare/ but they are in for a rude awakening because the welfare system is gonna change.. if i was the president i would set rules like 1. you can only be on the system for 2 years. 2. you have to go and get diploma/or g.e.d./ 3.you have to actively look for employment or lose your benefits i would keep wic program around 4. you have to report who the father is so he can get a job and pay the system back..5. if you are not working you have to be in college getting a higher education… i bet if these rules where in place they would be less teenagers getting pregnant.. the best birth control i was on in high school my mother constantly telling me she is not rocking my baby if i get pregnant ..i graduated from high school a virgin

they are obviously in uniforms which probably means that they are at an alternative school. which means they or their families care enough to keep them in school and continue their education. at least they’re still in school and in a place where they can cope with this pregnancy and get help from professionals. and i think its nice that they are in this unfortunate situation and have found friends to go through it with. they were just trying to be cute with this pic, not cause problems.

I want to say maybe they all attend a school were pregnant girls go. I use to teach at a school like that in Florida. But the girls werent that cool or that proud to be preggers.

The way of Jesus Christ as described in the bible can save the next generations a lot of heartache and pain. People, especially church goers mock and reject the teachings of the Christian faith. (Righteousness, holiness, judgement,family, abstinance until marriage, do good, etc.) They go on to raise their children and live their lives as though there are no universal laws and associated consequences for violating the universal laws.They find out the hard way that there are consequences for every action. Finally, they blame God for their choices.Some feel so ashamed and guilty that they refuse to come to God for forgiveness and they remain trapped in the cycle of self destruction. God will forgive you no matter what it is. Confession to him and repentance invites peace and joy into our lives. Some are so prideful they would rather live a miserable life than receive the grace and peace of Jehovah through Jesus the Christ.

What a shame. I am in my late twenties and I enjoy the fact that I do not have to take care of anyone but myself. One day I may have kids but I have way too much fun enjoying the peace and quiet and the freedom to do whatever I want whenever I want.
I remember being very young and it was disgraceful to walk around with a "big belly and no ring". Now people say "you marrying her because she pregnant! Why you doing that?". Times have changed folks.
