Clearly the highlight of the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards was Beyonce’s shocking confirmation of her pregnant belly on the red carpet.

What came a close second to Bey’s awesome announcement was her hot performance of “Love on Top,” where she lovingly rubbed her pregnant belly as she belted out a song that declares undying love and affection…

With a blinding light beaming out behind her, Beyoncé took the stage in a purple spangly tuxedo jacket, black pants and white tuxedo shirt, still rocking her fierce six-inch heels of old, pregnant or not.
Her blond hair blowing in the wind, and backed by six dancers wearing similar shimmering tuxes, the glowing diva gave new meaning to the lyrics, “Now everybody asks me why I’m smiling out from ear to ear.”
Beyonce’s performance had me dancing in front of my television! Bey exuded happiness on stage last night… and hands down was my FAVORITE performance of the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.
At the end of her performance, Bey dropped the mic like Eddie Long and exited the stage, but not before she rubbed her pregnant belly while looking lovingly at her booski Jay-Z…

@Dean Spencer I don’t think it was a media move at all.. They try so hard to live their personal life in secret & the media or the fans feel like they deserve to know every aspect of their lives..
When Beyonce’ was singing that song & giving that performance with her all in those heels, all I could think about is she have been pregnant all this time and she is one woman to do all of that to keep that secret.. and then when dropped that microphone and you saw all the happiness on Jay-Z face of a brand new Papi face.. You can’t help but be happy for them.. May God bless them and the new bambino..

Great for her! A new life, especially a planned one with the mother and father’s consent, and the ability to give the child quality of life is a wonderful thing! Time to put the haters and naysayers way behind and take care of herself and her baby.

Both their albums already dropped (not that the baby news would increase sales necessarily) & I’m wondering if there r ppl out their who really believe they timed their pregnancy w/the awards show….GOH!!
& if their relationship was all about media, why would they have kept it so lowkey from the beginning. Their relationship is about THEM, as it should be. When ur a celebrity cpl of that magnitude, u can’t please everybody, so u might as well do what u want, how u want. I say, congrats to them!
