Antonia “Toya” Wright celebrated a major accomplishment a few days ago with a few of her close friends and family.
In my One on One with Toya a few months back, she expressed her desire to break out of the “baby mama” stereotype:
I want people to love and respect me for me and not for who I was associated with. That’s only a part of my life.
Well… she’s definitely changed that path, and in the course of just a few months! Gone are the days of referring to Antonia “Toya” Carter… (oops! Wright) as simply “Lil Wayne’s baby mama”.
The reality show star married her best friend, changed her last name and secured a major endorsement deal. Now Mrs. Wright can now add “Best Selling Author” to her resume!
Toya’s supporters have helped her land at #14 on the prestigious New York Times Best-Seller List with her memoir, “Priceless Inspirations.”

Using words she recorded in journals she kept as a teen, Toya bares her soul in “Priceless” by sharing her own personal struggles, using them to offer young women real and heartfelt advice about sex, relationships, motherhood and growing up.
I commend Toya on being such a blessing and inspiration to others and wish her much success on her future endeavors!

Go Toya!!
awesome
yay! Toya! she such a kind person she deserves it
O please!!! Can someone please tell me how she became famous? She was Lil Wayne baby momma that’s all. I will never support anything she does because she is nobody role model. A teen mom yeah effin right. She wrote a book about what? Havin a baby early n lovin a boy that is an entertainer? Call me a hater so what she’s not a Teacher or Police she will always be Lil Wayne baby momma that became famous
@Chil Hush
And does any of that matter because she is no longer seen as little wayne’s baby’s mama. SHe was actually his wife!! I commend her because she wanted more and she worked hard at getting it. What person you know wants to just be considered and known as somebody’s baby mama!! Congrats Toya!!
@ noonoo face I’m sorry I hit a nerve n ur rite she’s Lil Wayne baby momma that married that cute dark skin guy from Memphis, u know him he made that song that time. Chil hush she ain’t nobody. U drank the entertainment look aid congrats to u, but I didn’t. I wanna read a book by somebody who worked hard to get to the top not someone who fucked n sucked the way to the middle
How is her story different from any other teen black girl who had a baby b4 she was grown and came from a dysfunctional family? Seriously, if she weren’t Wayne’s baby momma/ex-wife nobody would know who she was and nobody would care. We all got sad stories to tell so I guess we all should get out there and write a book.
Yep @Kamalla if you’ve got a story write a book don’t hate because Toya did & now she’s getting deserved accolades for telling her story. Writing, publishing, selling and getting on The New York Best Seller’s list isn’t easy so regardless of her past she stepped out on faith & did it.
I’ll wait on you to do the same …
If if was not 4 Wayne she would not b where she is 2day…rich as hell so her pass made her the woman that she is today lol.
I like Toya…. I really do …. but I am soo sick of all these "Best Selling Author" titles being passed around when the books are actually written by ghost writers. It’s a real dis credit to the real authors who put in the time, EDUCATION and work to get to where they are. What are we teaching our next generation with all these short cuts – what ever happened to working hard in life?? (REALITY STARS, GHOST WRITERS……. WHAT’S NEXT)?
@child hush here is a saying for you " It’s not what you go through it’s how come out of it that matters" Get Some!! Why do you care so much about how it happened. I just believe in giving props when they are due!! And I agree to disagree
Read it loved it and it don’t matter how she became known its what she decided to do with it. You go Mrs. Wright
LOL @ Lakesha, Don’t wait on my book darling because there won’t be one. I’ve had a good life. No out of wedlock kids, no crack ho momma, no prison brother, no spermanator daddy and no ex-hubby/hip-hop star who knocks up every chick around the way.
Let’s all wait on Keisha Cole’s book or maybe Evelyn from Basketball Wives or maybe one of those girls that’s always on Maury Povich trying to find their baby daddies.
