The Collective Renaissance Guild (CRG) in partnership with Ford Motor Company and Perennial Entertainment and Sports celebrated the 2010 Winter Ball: Phoenix Rising in honor of Grammy award-winning artist Toni Braxton and global humanitarian Martin Luther King III on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Delta Heritage Museum.
CRG presented their Phoenix Award to Toni Braxton for her hard work and community service with Autism Speaks and the American Heart Association. Martin Luther King III was honored for his global humanitarian efforts and work as President of the King Center. Both honorees were also recognized for their resilience and ability to thrive in challenging times.
Guests enjoyed artistic performances by Buenos Aires Tango Academy of Atlanta, complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres sponsored by Belvedere Intense, music by super producer Bryan-Michael Cox and DJ E-Class and a keynote address from Chaka Zulu, CEO of DTP Records.
Others spotted at the swanky danky annual event included “housewives” of Atlanta, Sheree’ Whitfield and Cynthia Bailey (joined by her hubby Peter Thomas), Mayor Kasim Reed, Ryan Glover, producer DrummaBoy, Andrea Kelly (Celebrity Choreographer & ex-wife of R-uh), Dionne Farris (Singer / Songwriter) and more.
