Rapper Shawty Lo’s longtime girlfriend/baby mama, Ecreia Perez, was arrested Wednesday (Aug 31). Ecreia & Shawty Lo were engaged at a lavish get together back in June of this year, but Lo abrubtly called off the engagement a few weeks ago.
Creia’s stroke of bad luck just got worse after she was booked into Fulton County Jail for allegedly attempting to bring a handgun AND a stun gun that resembled a cell phone into the courthouse!
Ecreia Laki Perez is being held on $6,000 bond after she was arrested Tuesday afternoon. Perez tried to enter the Fulton County Courthouse but was stopped after her bag went through the security checkpoint’s conveyor belt, a Fulton County Sheriff’s spokeswoman said.
A Fulton Sheriff’s deputy noticed the .380 gun as well as a stun gun – disguised as a mobile phone – in Perez’s bag, spokeswoman Tracy Flanagan said.
Perez told authorities she forgot she had the two weapons in her bag.
Perez was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a weapon to a public gathering, Flanagan said. Each charge carries $3,000 bond, according to jail records.
Fulton County courthouse has a history of death and destruction and takes security very seriously. Back in 2005, Brian Nichols, an inmate on trial for rape, escaped from custody and murdered the judge presiding over his trial, a court reporter, a Sheriff’s Deputy, and later a Federal agent.
Needless to say, Ecreia’s excuse of “I didn’t know it was in my purse” isn’t gonna wash with authorities….
Why is it that every-time there is news about T.I. all of a sudden news about shawty lo comes up?
