For those of you who have been wishing to relive the days of Atlanta’s legendary FREAKNIK, you can now rest a lil easier. Word on the street is that Lil Wayne & T-Pain are planning to revive the festivities.Don’t fret, the traffic won’t get outta hand this time. The two rappers have teamed up with Adult Swim to create a cartoon based on the event. The cartoon, entitled Freaknik” will also feature David Banner, as they all attempt to illustrate the former Atlanta party scene from which it takes its name.
“Basically it was a Black Spring Break that went down in Atlanta and got shut down back in ‘98 or ‘99. So the show is going to resurrect that, and it’s going to be starring T-Pain and Lil’ Wayne and all these other artists like David and some other dudes,” said Adult Swim creative director Jake Escobedo.
“It’s all drawn, and T-Pain plays the ghost of spring break, the Spirit of Freaknik. He brings this party back to Atlanta and the artists have done all this music for it, and it’s amazing.”
Wayne will appear in the animated music video for the program “Ghetto Commandments” as Jesus Christ.
“Freaknik “airs on Comedy Central’s Adult Swim March 1.

I remember Freaknik in the mid-90s. (Yes, I’m old.) Oh memories …
So, the show is going to focus on their efforts to revive Freaknik? Or is it going to take place during Freaknik? I think this idea is better suited to a movie a la “Fraternity Vacation” than an animated series. But hey, what do I know?!
Why? Blank stare.
ya are bad assssssssssssss ws blood
Adult Swim in on Cartoon Network, not Comedy Central. Also, I just don’t know what to think of this. It could be entertaining, but there’s just as good of a chance of it being complete shit. I guess there’s only one way to find out.
