In addition to Kim hosting a short-lived talk show, she was also an aspiring recording artist in the 90’s who performed under the moniker “Tempest.” Fortunately for us…that moment was captured in time with the emergence of music videos. I dunno if “Tempest” ever made it to MTV but her videos were definitely worthy of a shot.
Check out two vintage music videos from Kim/Poprah/Tempest below as well as a brief update on what she’s doing now:
“What Can We Do?” ~ Tempest

Kim/Tempest/Poprah hit up the red carpet of the 2009 Fox Really Awards a few days ago, where she was nominated for “Best Villain” for her stint attempting to be Diddy’s assistant on Vh1’s “I Want to Work for Diddy.” Competition was stiff in the reality villain category, in that she was up against hard heads like Janice Dickinson (I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here), Spencer Pratt (I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here), Wes Hayden (The Bachelorette) and Chima Simone (Big Brother 11). The show airs tonight (Oct 17th) at 10pm EST hosted by reality cougar Vivica Fox. We’ll find out then how Poprah came out against her competition.
Kim is also said to be dropping a book soon, which details her experiences in the world of celebrity-ism called “Celebrity Encounters – The Un-Superhead” and she has several more television appearances planned. Keep your eye out for a new “reality” dating show she’s developing called “Big Girls Need Love Too”…. which should be quite interesting.
