“This loss has deeply saddened me, with a heavy heart I composed this statement. May God cover you Michael. We all lift your name up in prayer. I pray for the entire JACKSON family particularly Michael’s mother and all his fans that loved him so much. I would not be the artist, performer, and philanthropist I am today without the influence of Michael. I have great admiration and respect for Him and I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to meet and perform with such a great entertainer In so many ways he transcended culture. He broke barriers, he changed radio formats! With music, he made it possible for people like Oprah Winfrey and Barack Obama to impact the mainstream world. His legacy is unparalleled Michael Jackson will never be forgotten.” ~ Usher via Twitter
It’s no secret where Usher found the inspiration for his signature moves. Check out a flashback video of he and Mike in an onstage dance battle below with a funny surprise guest: Continue Reading…
The legendary Michael Jackson passed away today at the age of 50. Jackson suffered an apparent heart attack at his Bel-Air home and was rushed to UCLA Medical Center around 3:30 p.m. Eastern time. His death was confirmed by Assistant Chief Ed Winter of the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
I’m still speechless at this news and I’m walking round crying like I lost my big brother. I don’t know about you but regardless of how strange Micheal had grown over the years, he was still in my heart the “little Michael” below: Continue Reading…
Have you received this email recently about the missing 3 year old named Jewel Strong?
Missing 3 year Old Girl
You never know, who knows whom
Another child missing.
Please forward to everyone you know.
Her family needs your help finding her.
The email has been circulating for about 3 years now, beginning in 2006. It’s not a complete hoax, little Jewel Strong (pictured above) was actually missing but not as the result of an abduction or runaway. The Jonesboro tot, who was 3 years old in 2006, was vacationing along with her family in Panama City Beach. The child and her 18 year old aunt were playing in a float in the water and were caught in strong currents. Rescuers were able to rescue the aunt, but the 3 year old was swept under the water and could not be found.
Over the course of several weeks, rescuers conducted an intensive search of the child by boat, divers and helicopter. Sadly they turned up nothing. Little Jewel’s distraught parents held out hope that she was alive and well somewhere but all signs point to the small child drowning and being swept away by the strong currents.
It’s a sad sad story that has developed over the course of these three years. The parents refused to give up hope and went through hell and high water to find their child. I did a lil internet research and compiled what’s been going on with the case all these years. If you got that email again today and are interested in Jewel’s story check it out below:
Farrah Fawcett, 62, blonde-haired sex symbol of the late 1970s most remembered for her appearance on bedroom posters and as one of the original “Charlie’s Angels”, died today at a hospital in Santa Monica, Calif., of cancer. I saw Barbara Walters interviewing her boo Ryan O’Neal the other day and he emotionally proclaimed that they would get married in her final days. In the statement released about her death, he is identified as her companion, not her husband so I’m not sure he was able to carry out those wishes.
Of the passing, O’Neal told People magazine: “She’s gone. She now belongs to the ages. She’s now with her mother and sister and her God. I loved her with all my heart. I will miss her so very, very much. She was in and out of consciousness. I talked to her all through the night. I told her how very much I loved her. She’s in a better place now. She was with her team when she passed … Her eyes were open, but she didn’t say anything. But you could see in her eyes that she recognized us.”
Fawcet was diagnosed with rectal cancer in 2006, and though it went into remission, it reappeared last year. She wanted to keep her struggle private, but the National Enquirer published stories about her health, apparently gleaned from hospital employees who illegally pried in her records.
Her very public battle ended Tuesday morning at St. John’s Heath Center in Santa Monica, Calif.
Atlanta bred comedian Shawty (What Yo Name Is) seems a lil bit upset that comedian Lil Duval has transplanted into Atlanta and “stolen his swag.” Not only is he mad, but he has challenged Lil Duval to a battle to prove who’s the funniest between the two short men. Now…if you from the “A” you know that Shawty’s been around a looooong “A”zz time. Hell, his shawt “A”zz has been everywhere…he was even spotted chillin in Nelly’s infamous Tip Drill Video. Shawty’s quick to admit that he may not be the funniest comic in the world but says he definitely can hold his own against Lil Duval and will put his own money up to prove it:
“I got $30,0000….tell him to put up $30,000. Winner take all. (For what?) A comedy battle. We can do it. We could do a reality show. It could be skits, jokes and the real sh*t in the club… Hood like! Or we could just go straight up on the stage goddammit!”
Shawty says he’s got that CASH money waiting but feels that Lil Duval is NOT gonna go for it. From listening to his rant, there seems to be a lil funnyman beef going on. Shawty is a really funny dude and so is Lil Duval. I’d pay good money to see these two battle it out and I rarely pay for anything. 😕

For the record, I dunno if the kid in the pic above is bad or not since I just found this pic on Google and ran with it… but apparently there’s some bad “A”zz kids up north in Gwinett County where two juveniles have been arrested for hitting a man in the head with a hammer and stealing his ice cream cart!
Police said a 28-year-old man was pushing his ice cream cart down Downs Way in Norcross when two male teens approached him and hit him with a hammer. The juveniles then stole his ice cream cart.
he victim asked witnesses to call 911 and the witnesses directed police to an address on Squire Court. Investigators obtained consent from the juveniles’ guardian to search the residence on Squire Court. During the search, police said they found the ice cream cart. Both juveniles, aged 15 and 16 years old, were arrested and transported to the Regional Youth Detention Center. Both have been charged with one count of armed robbery.
The victim, Ricardo Cabana, of Atlanta, was treated at Gwinnett Medical Center and released.(source)
It’s been 90+ degrees for the past few days but DAYUM!…is it really that serious? Teenagers are out of school and bored to death already? *sigh* I blame the parents for not leaving any ice cream money on the counter before they left for work….
