TAG Records’ “Survival of the Freshest” tour hit the “A” Sunday evening at Center Stage. The venue was packed with hopefuls and the free event served as TAG’s grand finale event for the nationwide tour. There was a live emcee battle where the crowd was the deciding factor. I spotted DJ Cannon, Q da Kid, and Princess from Crime Mob. Keyshawn aka Markice Moore from G’s to Gents/ATL served as a quasi-host for the show as he announced each contestant and reviewed the applause meter.

They had about 60 something entries in the contest but I had to jet at about 35 or so. The crowd was hyped and definitely didn’t hesitate to boo when presented with a bad performance. All in all it was a very positive event.
