Dr. Maya Angelou passed away early today and while her body may be gone, the spirit of her words will resonate forever.

The famed poet/author and legend was one of the first guests who appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s Master Class.
One of the lessons Dr. Angelou taught during the class was ‘The Power of Words’. She described how words enter our walls, our clothing, and infiltrates. Words are extremely powerful. They stay with people; they can shape people and sometimes they change people.
Angelou, who was regarded by Oprah as a mentor and ?mother-sister-friend?, shared her wisdom on a range of topics ranging from her deep-rooted confidence, her hate for modesty, the responsibility of standing up for yourself, the poison of negativity and the relationship between love and liberation.
