The singer reportedly got into a squabble with a man outside the W Hotel in Washington, DC prior to throwing the blows that got him arrested.

The altercation took place around 4:30am Sunday morning.

Brown, who hosted a party at the city’s Park and 14th club earlier in the evening, was reportedly posing for pictures with two female fans when an unidentified man and another male friend rushed over to join in the photo.

A law enforcement source claims the volatile singer said, ‘I’m not into this gay s**t, I’m into boxing,’ before punching the alleged victim. ?The man later said he didn’t understand why Brown would be ‘so homophobic.’

The unidentified victim , who was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation for a broken nose, is said to be planning to press charges but said he would have accepted an apology from the singer at the scene.

TMZ reports that Brown’s camp claim that the alleged victim’s story of events is completely fabricated and Chris was, in fact, attempting to stop the pair for trespassing onboard his tour bus.?After the two girls tried in vain to do the same thing, the men apparently decided to make their move, which is when Brown stopped them with a few blows to the face.

Chris Brown along with his bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, were arrested after the incident and were still in custody as of Sunday afternoon, and they are expected to remain there until Monday morning.

(Under D.C. law, Chris is not eligible for bail, so he will have to appear before a magistrate on this morning.)

The serious nature of the allegations could spell trouble for the artist, given his probation status (Brown is?still on parole for assaulting Rihanna back in 2009).

A?felony assault charge could be grounds for probation violation and the?charge could carry a four-year prison sentence.

Do you think Chris Brown will be able to dodge these recent charges?
