Phaedra Parks of The Real Housewives of Atlanta recently took a moment to give thanks for surviving airing her dirty laundry on national television.
On the week of Thanksgiving I would be remiss if I did not take a moment to share a few words of gratitude. Oprah Winfrey once said, ?Be thankful for what you have; you?ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don?t have, you will never, ever have enough.? Despite what is going on in my personal life, I am so very thankful for all that I have. For it has been in these dark moments that I have learned some very valuable lessons and discovered my purpose.
Parks also utilized her Bravo blawg to share her thoughts on the huge blowout between Cynthia Bailey & Porsha Williams that we witnessed during the final few moments of episode 3…

Phaedra apparently feels that Cynthia should have been the bigger person in the situation since she’s Porsha’s ‘elder’ and she writes that Bailey’s behavior was quite ‘unbecoming’….
More details below…
While our show is about a group of women who socialize together, socializing does not equate to true friendship. True friends delight in the building up of one another rather than bashing each other. Throughout my tumultuous situation it has been Porsha’s sweetness, NeNe’s constant support and advice, coupled with Kandi’s steadfast friendship that has sustained and comforted me.

Phaedra goes on to blast Cynthia for her behavior during the altercation with Porsha, stating:
The exchange between Porsha and Cynthia during this week?s episode was disappointing. I have always thought of Cynthia as a nice person, but her behavior last night was unbecoming.
Porsha was late and I understand Cynthia’s frustration. However, as Porsha’s elder, Cynthia should be setting an example. None of us are perfect, but we can all strive to be better. Also, timing and tone are often more important than the content of a message.
It is unfortunate that the content and intention of the communication were lost due to a distracting tone and premature timing.

We often hear the old adage “it takes a village”; however we don?t often stop to take an inventory of who the members of our personal village are. I am truly grateful for the support of my village. Amongst many things, I am immensely grateful for a super supportive family, who always shower me with unconditional love.
As I observe the resilient nature of my children, I am reminded that we are all designed to survive. I am humbled, inspired, and extremely thankful for true, thoughtful friends who consistently encourage me and lift me up in both good and trying times. As I dwell in the perfect peace promised to each of us by our Lord and Savior, it is my hopes that, through service, I will give to others what my village has given to me.
Happy Thanksgiving!
