Amy Winehouse was found dead in her home over the weekend (July 23, 2011). She was only 27 years old.
While an official cause of death is still unknown, there have been mounting reports that alcohol and drugs were consumed by the embattled star just hours prior to her death.
Friends of the fallen star have come forward to reveal Amy purchased ecstasy, cocaine, heroin and ketamine the day of her death
Is Amy Winehouse’s death a case of yet another life gone too soon or did her? short 27 years on this earth far exceed her life expectancy?

According to Starcasm, several people claiming to be Amy?s friends have revealed that she planned to have a wild party Friday evening (just hours before she passed).
The friends have all confirmed that Amy bought ecstasy, cocaine, heroin and ketamine on the street that day:
?Amy seemed determined to have a big one on Friday night.
?She was out in Camden on Friday evening, but seemed determined to carry on the party back at her flat.
?None of us know who was with her into the early hours of Saturday. But getting out of it was clearly her main priority of the night.?
It may seem heartless to even think that Amy’s death was “expected, but even Amy?s own mother Janis, has verbalized several times in the past that she thought her daughter would die young.
Janis had lunch with Amy Friday afternoon and noticed that Amy appeared tired that day (as she often did because of the hours she kept). She suspected that her daughter didn?t have much time left.
They kissed on the front steps of Amy?s house, and Amy told her mother she loved her on last time.
Her father Mitch Winehouse was in New York when Amy died, promoting his own jazz album. Mitch returned home promptly, saying he was ?devastated,? but couldn?t ?crack up for Amy?s sake.?
Amy has joined the ?27 club? ( a listing of famous musicians who all died at the age of 27). The members include Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, and Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones. It was just three years ago that Amy expressed fears that she too would die at age 27.
As of today’s date, the official cause of Amy’s death is unknown, but the talented songstress has been on a dangerous path for a quite a while with an addiction to cocaine, crack, heroin, and alcohol (among others).
Amy has spent time in several rehabs, with her most recent stint just weeks ago. Unfortunately she never achieved sobriety for any extended period of time.
