Inside Monica & Shannon Brown’s Fairy Tale Wedding… [PHOTOS + VIDEO]

Monica tied the knot for a second time last weekend (July 9, 2011) with her L.A. Lakers boo Shannon Brown and The Insider’s Kevin Frazier got the exclusive coverage.

Immediately following the ceremony, Monica?said the wedding fully exceeded her expectations and fulfilled her dream of being spectacular.

“I was just overwhelmed. I’m glad because I didn’t think about this 50 lb train that I was dragging behind me. I just had to take a deep breath, because I was really trying not to cry.”

Monica plans to auction off her reception dress to benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation, the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists.

The event’s planner, Mindy Weiss, created a blue-themed wedding wonderland at the renovated cathedral Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles.

As you know, the couple secretly tied the knot in a private ceremony last November, but decided this time to hold an “official” wedding in front of family and friends.

LL Cool J described the ceremony was “romantic,” with just the right music to set the mood.? Mo’s good friend Lala Vasquez-Anthony said love was definitely “in the air” and revealed that the?very next day was her one-year anniversary with husband Carmelo Anthony.

As far as the honeymoon is concerned, Monica responded that she didn’t know yet, explaining that her cousin Ludacris (who couldn’t make the ceremony due to a scheduling conflict) sent over his private jet to whisk she and Shannon off to an unknown exotic location.

Kevin later found out the newlyweds flew to the Caribbean island of Anguilla. Congrats again to the happy couple! 🙂

Monica and Shannon celebrated their union with the wedding of their dreams, witnessed by all of their family and friends. BEAUTIFUL! I’ve always imagined my wedding in a similar fashion… *sigh*
