Steve Harvey is missing a load of dough and word on the curb is that it was his Clark Atlanta University intern who allegedly pocketed the cash!
According to the AJC, the intern is believed to have stolen at least $10,000 from a bag inside Steve Harvey’s Piedmont Road office, and told the comedian he’d return the money despite insisting he didn’t steal it.
Atlanta police filed an incident report regarding the theft last week after the intern, 22-year-old Kyle Reynolds, had not made good on his word.
According to the report, a security video showed Reynolds entering Harvey’s office earlier this month after a bank employee had delivered a bag of cash.
Reynolds was not authorized to be in the office, but told one of Harvey’s associates he just wanted to get a Coke.? The video shows Reynolds leaving the room without a soft drink in hand, but the money was gone.
Reynolds claimed he knew nothing about the cash when he was questioned by his supervisor and Harvey, but according to the incident report, he later sent the supervisor a text message stating, “I am gonna get him the money just so I can end this.”
[Sidebar: If he didn’t take the 10 G’s, why would he voluntarily offer to give it back? *sigh*]
Clark Atlanta was apparently notified of the incident but school officials told police Reynolds has not been back to the campus since being questioned about the dough.? He is reportedly now residing in New York.
Calls to Harvey’s management seeking comment have not been returned.
I hope that lil $10,000 was worth a stint in prison! 😕 Dumb kid… SMH!
