Oprah Pays Suprise Visit To Atlanta School + Her Views on BP Oil Spill [PHOTOS + VIDEO]

The Ron Clark Academy honored it’s first graduating class yesterday with a surprise visit from a very special guest… OPRAH!

Oprah Winfrey, who has generously donated nearly $2 million to the private school, decided to deliver her well-wishes to the Class of 2010 in person.

I am here just to say to you, I believe in you,? Winfrey said to the 20 rising freshmen, after a standing ovation.

?Each of you represent the best of who we are … You know what it means to work hard and to sometimes not feel sure of yourself and to push beyond that understanding and move forward to what is certain. You were born to greatness and to do great things.?

Winfrey praised parents for taking a chance on a new school under the leadership of an educator known for jumping on top of desks to give his lectures, a teacher named the best in America.

To every parent in here, every family in here, who was smart enough, wise enough and understood enough how important education is that you would put your child in the best school in the United States of America, congratulations!

Prior to her heartwarming speech to the Ron Clark Academy’s Class of 2010, Oprah also took a moment to share her views on how President Obama is handling the BP oil spill. She states:

I think the President is doing the best anybody can. I really don’t understand what people want him to do. I think he’s the PRESIDENT of the United States. You’re not supposed to be emotional, you’re supposed to take action and get things done and make things happen. I don’t know what it is people want him to do.

Oprah may not be able to single-handedly finance the BP Oil spill cleanup but she’s still mighty generous with her cash. MSNBC is reporting that the billionaire mogul just gave everyone on her “O” magazine staff and iPad plus a $10,000 check to commemorate the magazine’s 10th anniversary.? Where the hell do I apply?
