Wendy Williams Pauses Show Production To Travel For Mother’s Funeral…

The Wendy Williams Show recently announced that they would be pausing production of the popular talk show until January 2021 so that Williams can be with her family following the death of her mother, who was buried this past weekend.

Details below…

In a statement released by a “Wendy Show” spokesperson, notes:

Next week, The Wendy Williams Show will air repeats to allow Wendy to travel and be with her family at this time.

The show will return with original episodes on Monday, January 4th. Debmar-Mercury extends its deepest condolences to Wendy and her family.

Williams verified during her show last week, that her mother, Shirley Williams, had died “many, many, many” weeks ago.

Gone is the best mother, the best girlfriend that a girl could ever have. I feel fortunate that I had her in my life all of my 56 years because people in my age bracket — many of you, throughout the years — (say,) ‘You’re really lucky to have your mom and dad together in a happy marriage.’

For the record, the host’s brother, Tommy Williams, also confirmed the sad news online in a series of YouTube videos, where he revealed that their mother passed away November 29, 2020 and that the funeral was held this past Saturday (December 12, 2020) in Miami, Florida.

Condolences to the Williams family during this trying time.
