This week’s episode is titled, ‘Nobody Beats the Biebs,’??and Donald Gover’s new hit show certainly didn’t disappoint! ?The episode was filled with random celebrity cameos and quite a few light bulb?moments
Synopsis:
Celebrities show up for the kids; Paper Boi is not a fann.
We also learned that that Justin Bieber is Black.

VIDEO: Atlanta – Episode #5 ‘Nobody Beats The Biebs’
This week, Paper Boi was invited to participate in a celebrity charity basketball game and he’s surrounded by the likes of singer Lloyd, Jaleel White (Family Matters) and ‘Justin Bieber’.
But while the other ‘celebs’ are portraying themselves, ‘Justin Bieber’ is hilariously replaced by a Black actor.
We have all read about?’The Biebs’ notorious actions in the media i.e. pissing in public and just all around ‘douchey’-ness (is that a word?)… anywhoo… in this week’s ‘ATL’ he gets the star treatment as Paperboy gets the short end of the stick for calling him out about being an asshole… But I’ll get to that in a minute.
Earn ‘Earns’ some free liquor…
As Paper Boi takes his position on the court, Earn gets the V.I.P. treatment when he’s mistaken by for another black man named?Alonzo. ?Apparently an older White woman (played by Jane Adams)?’recognizes’ Earn/Alonzo as one of her old co-workers and he gets to hang out and rub elbows with all the cool people (agents, managers, etc)… where all the Hennessy and Grand Marnier is free and?business deals get made.
As Earn plays his part as the woman’s ‘former black colleague’ he’s reminded of how they ‘met’ six years earlier at the Grammys. Earn plays along hoping to network and hopefully get in good with this hot shot who smokes and?wears shades indoors.
But unfortunately it all comes crashing down when the woman accuses ‘Alonzo’ of ruining her career.
?You thought I was finished but I?m a survivor,”?she said.?”I am going to ruin you no matter where you go. I?m gonna make sure you die homeless.?
Darius revisits the ‘Michael Vick’ Era…
Remember when they dayum near crucified former Falcons QB Michael Vick for dogfighting? Well that’s the treatment Darius gets this week for using a ‘dog’ as target practice at the shooting range.
While Earn and Paper Boi are busy at the charity event,?Darius heads to the shooting range with his brand new target poster.
He innocently shoots at?his dog poster as his target, and then Darius is approached by two white men who are shocked and appalled. ?When they approach him with “You can?t shoot a dawg!” Darius asks, ” Have you seen dogs in my neighborhood? They are vicious!’
He goes on to ask them in turn, “Why would I shoot a human target? That?s too specific.” as he points to a target showing a white man in a suit with the word “Dad” below it.
Another man, who appears to be of Middle Eastern descent, soon sides with Darius, stating, “America has taken so much. No more!,”?he said. “A revolution will rise from within. Blood will spill!”
Darius didn’t say all that, but soon he’s the one being escorted from the premises by a gunpoint and he didn’t even do anything wrong!
Paper Boi plays his position against Black Bieber…
Paper Boi enters the celebrity game with enthusiasm, because now he can finally say he’s a ‘celebrity, right? ?When he spots one of the reporters doing nothing he approaches and states, ‘?You should interview me now because I?ma be the MVP of this?thang.?
Paper Boi tries to convince the reporter that he really isn’t as ‘gangsta’ as he portrays to which she responds, ‘I remember you… you shot somebody.”
Meanwhile, Black Bieber takes the court?alongside a roster that include Paper Boi, Lloyd, Jaleel White and Lil Zane. ?Paper Boi almost loses it when Black Bieber acts an ass on the court and decides to block all his shots.
That’s when Paper Boi gets some advice from the reporter who states, ‘…play your part. People don?t want Justin to be the asshole. They want YOU to be the asshole. You?re a rapper. That?s your job.”
Ouch!
