The premiere episode for season 5 is titled, ‘For Kings & Queens.’
VH1 synopsis:
Momma Dee snuffs out treason in the palace; the King family puts everyone on edge and Mimi’s new relationship gets everyone talking.

In episode 1, Karlie Redd reveals that she and Rasheeda Frost are friends again after their falling out in Season 4.
Karlie meets up with Rasheeda and Tammy Rivera at an event to honor rapper Dolla, who was killed in 2009.
If you recall, Karlie and Rasheeda were going head to head after talks of partnering on a boutique idea fell through and now that time has passed, they have each moved on with their independent businesses.
Karlie says she has a successful store in LA, while Rasheeda’s ‘Pressed’ in Atlanta is doing quite well also.
As the ladies recap events that have occurred in their lives since they last seen each other, new cast member Karen ?KK? King enters with her two sons, Scrapp DeLeon and Sas, and Scrap?s girlfriend Tommie.
Yung Joc, who reveals during the segment that he’s single again now that he and KD have broken up again, says during his confessional that the King family are well respected and also ‘feared’ in Atlanta.
That’s an interesting (read: ‘MESSY’) move for a mom to make… but KK reveals in her confessional that she loves Tommie as a daughter, but doesn’t like Tiarra.
Tommie tells KK that she knows where Tiarra works and KK urges her to pop in and visit.
Tommie,? Karlie and Jessica Dime meet for the first time in a restaurant where ‘coincidentally’ Tierra works as a waitress.
Tommie confides in Jessica and Karlie that she’s there to scope out her boyfriend’s baby mama who ‘coincidentally’ happens to be their waitress.
The mess is right up Karlie’s alley and she decides to throw Tiarra a bone by mentioning Stevie J and Scrapp as she serves them.? Tiarra tells the ladies she knows Scrapp and somehow admits that she?s his baby mama and she’s still sleeping with him.
Tommie keeps quiet and doesn?t tell Tiarra she?s Scrapp?s girlfriend, so MESSY Karlie invites Tiarra to a party they are going to so that they can get more ‘tea’.
For the record, Jessica really isn’t down with the shenanigans and feels that Karlie and Tommie are doing way to much and are trying to set Tiarra up.
Character Witnesses or ‘Rotten Egg’…
Scrappy is pissed off at ‘friends’ Rasheeda and Kirk for standing him up at court and he confides with Mama Dee about the situation.
Apparently Scrappy was depending on the couple to speak on his character during his court issues and they flat out just didn’t show up!
Mama Dee is disgusted and says that Rasheeda and Scrappy are like brother & sister.? They’ve known each other forever and she’s upset that Rasheeda didn’t stand up for Scrappy.
Rasheeda’s mom Shirleen steps in to calm the situation but actually makes things worse.? Momma Dee decides to give Shirleen a little ‘gift’ since she laid a ‘rotten’ egg… a pile of hay.
Yeah… I didn’t get it either.? Moving on…
Baby Mama Drama or ‘Parents with Benefits’…
Meanwhile, back at the ranch… Tiarra tells Scrapp about meeting Tommie, Jessica and Karlie but Scrapp keeps quiet about his relationship with Tommie.
In his confessional, Scrapp says that he loves Tiarra because she’s the mother of his child but that Tommie is great in bed so he’s torn. *sigh*
Scrapp then goes to talk to Tommie to see what she knows and he finds Tommie ‘waiting for him at the doe’ in lingerie.? Tommie asks him directly if he’s still sleeping with Tierra and Scrapp tells her he?s not.? She says she believes him but wants Scrapp to let his ex know he has a girlfriend… IMMEDIATELY!
Scrapp says he will do it, but on his own time.
Everyone deserves to find love and it appears that Mimi Faust is now looking for it by dipping in the lady pond!
After all the drama with Nikko and that sex tape last year, it seems that Mimi is over MEN and she’s trying something ‘new’… i.e. Chris.
Mimi says she and Chris have been dating for over a year now, but she chose to keep it quiet but now she wants all her friends to know (now that the cameras are rolling and she needs a story).
The single mom turnt pornstar decides to introduce her new boo to her friends by throwing her lover an all-white birthday bash.
[Sidebar: I really hate this game Mimi is playing because it further perpetuates the MYTH that everyone in Atlanta is GAY… but I digress.]
For the record, I don’t know if the relationship is real or fake but all signs point to the latter. Whatever the case, it’s Mimi’s life and if she can give up peen that easily.. more power to her.
Mimi and Chris seem happy to the delight of her friends at the white party, so I guess we’ll watch this latest soap opera play out this season.
