Kandi & Todd Pitch ‘Old Lady Gang’ restaurant idea…

As Kandi and Todd preparing for their new addition, Todd decides it’s also the perfect time to take on an additional business venture.

Todd decides that Kandi’s mom & aunts (aka ‘The Old Lady gang’) would be the perfect spokespersons for a restaurant, as Kandi has compiled years worth of family recipes.

A restaurant featuring southern cuisine is just up this family’s ally and while ‘The Old Lady’ gang needs a bit of convincing, it seems that Todd is prepared to move forward with the idea.

Phaedra Takes Call From Prison…

As Phaedra prepares to take her kids to Washington, DC for the 20th anniversary of The Million Man March, she gets a call from her husband, Apollo Nida.

While it’s been reported that Phaedra refuses to take Nida’s calls from prison, she clearly took a call while the cameras were rolling and allowed Apollo to speak with his oldest son, Ayden.

The two share a touching conversation as Phaedra reveals that she’s attempting to co-parent even through the tough situation.

Moving on…

Kim Fields Walks again… and again!

During their visit to DC, Phaedra, Porsha, Sheree and Kim all pay a visit to Congresswoman Federica Wilson with their kids in tow.

Parks discusses the plight of young Black men with the congresswoman and as the two share their views on the subject, the Congresswoman Wilson speaks about her experiences and issues in the community.

Kim? seems to think the the subject matter is a little too mature for her 8 year old, so she decides to politely excuse herself from the situation.

‘I don’t have the luxury sugarcoating reality with my sons, and I don’t think it is the smartest thing to do.’ ~ Phaedra

Later in the episode, Kim also has to leave early to host an event in Atlanta, so she misses the actual Million Man March anniversary event.

Kenya and Auntie Sisqo go head to head about her birth mother’s actions…

Aunt Sisqo disappeared during Kenya Moore’s traumatic trip to Detroit, but she had every right NOT to be apart of the Kenya’s RHOA circus.

Kenya’s aunt and her cousin pay a visit to discuss the situation and Aunt Lori lays it all out for Kenya, stating:

I never wanted to be in the middle.? I just want to make it clear to you that I love you very much, but I think you also have to realize that I love my sister too. I don’t judge her. She was a young girl when she found out she was pregnant and I feel she had every right to give up her child.

Kenya admits that her mom has said some things to her over the years that she feels should be addressed, but clearly one cannot force an ADULT to do anything they choose not to do.

Aunt Lori tries to talk some sense to Kenya about the situation…. Clearly Kenya should could have handled it differently.? Clearly Kenya should NOT have brought a camera crew to that ladies home unannounced.? CLEARLY Aunt Lori is the only sensible one in the family.

My sister was in her home alone when something occurred that really upset her.? They called and they said, ‘can you please tell Kenya to stop’.?? After all these years, you go bam on her door?

I may seem insensitive to some about the situation, but honestly I believe in PRO-CHOICE.? The choice to have a child, the choice to abort a child, and the choice to give a child up for adoption is all a matter of CHOICE.?? Kenya’s 14/15 year old mom gave her child away and made a CHOICE not to be in her life.

Her giving Kenya up was a selfless act considering that she carried her for nine months and went through the pain of childbirth.? Kenya’s mom was a child herself who gave her child up to a family that could provide a better home.? Who could be mad at that? How she handled things moving forward was her choice as well, if her way of dealing with the situation is to separate herself from it, so be it!

I, personally, appreciate Aunt Lori for standing up for them both.? Kenya is lucky to have such a strong woman in her corner.

The return of the ‘Rich B*tch’…

Nene Leakes makes her dramatic re-entry to RHOA as she & her husband Gregg pull up to Cynthia & Peter’s home in her Black Maserati.

It’s clear the two couples missed their time together as they play catch up and Nene admits that she had to shut out everyone to get back to being herself.

I just wanted to get back to being the fabulous Nene Leakes, so in order to do that I had to hit the ‘block’ button… ~ Nene Leakes

Cynthia admits that out of all the ladies in the group, Nene was her ‘bestie’ and that the rift between them hurt her deeply.

We are treated to years of back & forth between the two, which ended with Nene’s dramatic exit during last year’s reunion show.

The time apart made them both realize that their friendship was worth saving and Nene admits that she’s willing to work on mending the friendship.

(Sidebar: Bravo promoted the hail outta Nene’s return, only to give fans a mini-segment during the last few minutes of the show. Interesting…)

Whatever the case, the Mid-Season trailer certainly promises that this season will get better (and Kenya Moore is back to her nasty/dirty/grimy old tricks)…
