A courageous Atlanta area Uber driver recently helped authorities nab three men who had just committed a violent crime.
The driver, Shawn McCastle knew something was strange within minutes of picking up the men at a Conyers Waffle House.? McCastle didn’t know what exactly was wrong, but he had a feeling the men were up to no good.
I?ve never had a Uber trip where the person didn?t know where they were going.
McCastle ended up driving his passengers around for nearly three hours, but while the men where still in his Volvo, he was able to call 911 while pretending to take a call from a friend.
Little did McCastle know that his three Uber passengers were actually suspects, accused of shooting a man in the head inside a hotel room.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center for treatment of injuries that police say are ?serious and life-threatening.?
Investigators believe four North Carolina men who were working locally were staying in room No. 116.? They were robbed ? and one of them shot ? by three other men, who also stole the victim?s 1999 Lexus.
About four hours after the shooting, an Uber driver (McCastle) called 911.? Police were dispatched to the scene to investigate three suspicious males that were possibly related to the earlier shooting.

When officers arrived, two of the suspects ran, while the third remained at the scene and was taken into custody.?
The second suspect was found about 30 minutes later in the area and was also taken into custody. A Gwinnett police K9 unit found the third suspect hiding in a wooded area.
That suspect was bitten by the K9 and was taken to Eastside Medical Center for treatment.
After an interview with McCastle, police learned the suspects abandoned the victim?s vehicle at a Waffle House in Conyers shortly after the shooting, which is where he picked them up for their 3hour Uber ride.
