[FLASHBACK: #RHOA Recap – Season 8, Ep 2 ‘Duking it Out’ + Watch Full Video…]
This week’s episode is titled, ‘Party in a Sweatbox’ and it seems that’s a running theme this season as the ladies once again get together during another hot (literally) Atlanta event.
Bravo’s Synopsis:
After their heated confrontation at Cynthia?s eyewear launch party, Kenya attempts to reconcile with Shere?. Meanwhile, Peter disappears to Charlotte, while his marriage to Cynthia remains on the rocks. Phaedra and Kandi update their loved ones on their recent chat, but both have differing views on the state of their friendship. Kim Fields spends a rare night out on the town and meets the rest of the Atlanta ladies. Meanwhile, Kenya launches her Moore Hair Care line with a big, hot party that leaves everyone literally feeling the heat.

Porsha Williams and Phaedra Parks are full of sh*t… (LITERALLY!)
This week, the ladies share a girl’s date to a colonics facility for what Parks describes as ‘a little spring cleaning’.

Porsha has never had the procedure before and Phaedra jokes about her being a ‘virgin’ (insert side-eye). Parks also jokes about how Kenya is so full of sh*t that she’s ‘two-shades darker than what she should be’.
[Sidebar: I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how self-hating that joke was. Really Phaedra? Not cool… at all. But I digress.]
The two share a bit of girl’s talk while Porsha ummm… relieves herself with the help of modern technology.
Porsha talks about how she’s a bit perturbed about Kandi bringing up rumors about her new boyfriend, while Phaedra discusses her issues with Kandi and how hurt she was that Kandi never disclosed to her that they were storing her incarcerated husband’s belongings in Kandi’s garage.

Kenya and Marlo…
Marlo and Kenya scout locations for Moore’s haircare launch party and during their time together, Hampton convinces Kenya to ‘be nice’ to Sheree Whitfield.

Mugshot Marlo was dressed to the nines during the scene (as usual) but she was so self conscious of the war wound on her chest that it was hard to appreciate her couture. But again… I digress.
Kenya notes as they leave the venue that she wants the a/c on full blast… apparently that’s a preview of things to come.
Cynthia’s Baby Daddy Offers Marital Advice…
After conducting a successful interrogation of Noelle’s cut new tutor, Leon and Cynthia have a heart to heart about her marital issues.

For the record, Cynthia has spoken to dayum near EVERYBODY about Peter! Her sister, Kenya, her business partner, and now Leon. She should be tired of talking about it by now, but I guess there’s not much else for her to talk about with Nene gone.
“Peter’s in Charlotte and I don’t know when I’m going to talk to him again…” ~ Cynthia
Leon tells Cynthia to fight for her marriage and when she’s finally alone, she calls Peter and get’s his voice mail.
When all of this was going on last Summer, Peter stressed that he was going to avoid the tapings in Atlanta because producers were focusing on the cheating scandal and their marital issues. He clearly didn’t stay away too long because he pops up at the end of this episode.
But a check is a check, right?
Kim fields has no friends (in real life)…
Kim Fields seems like a nice lady, but she’s clearly having some issues adjusting to life with the ‘housewives.’
Fields shares a scene with her husband and confides in him about how she’s really not into ‘hanging out’ with the ladies.? He reveals, ‘that’s why you don’t have any friends‘… OUCH! That had to hurt!
Hopefully Kim will come outta her shell soon, but as of now, it seems she’s doesn’t actually want to be there and that’s no fun at all.

A Hair Care Products Launch Party with No Products…
“I’m here tonight to support Kenya in all of her dreams… her dream hair care line, her dream husband, her dream house. Everything that she is imagining, I’m here to support her.” ~ Porsha
Shamea Morton shows up and shows out as she points out that Kenya’s new haircare line is actually bottles filled with water.
[Sidebar: A hair care line with no products? *sigh* How dreadful! Where is Dwight Eubanks when you need him?]
The bottled water comes in handy though, because Kenya’s guests are all sweating because there’s something going on with the a/c.
Kenya shows up to her event with her latest rent-a-date, Eugene Casciaro, but you already know that ‘relationship’ was about as real as the hair care products at the party.

Marlo Hampton is getting more screen time than either of the actual ‘friends of the show’… why buy the cow when she’ll work for free.? Oh… and speaking of free cows, Claudia Jordan was fired from RHOA but she’s still showing up for events (wheredeydothatat?).
The ‘Homeless Housewives’ Make Amends…
Moore’s flowing weave looks amazing as she apologizes to Sheree for speaking about things she ‘heard’ from the neighbors.
[Sidebar: Bravo’s shade towards Sheree is still evident as producers focus on her thinning edges and nappy roots during an event build around hair care… but I digress.]
“I’m not totally sure that I can really trust Kenya. I mean, she’s still wears colored contacts in 2015.’ ~ Sheree Whitfield
Sheree and Kenya are pretty much carbon copies of each other. Both have unfinished homes, both threw launch parties with no products.
Kenya just can’t seem to find herself so she steals everyone’s identity. But whatever works. (Yawning)
Moving on.
Divorce is NOT an Option…
Peter admits he was ‘knee-briated’ during the party and that Kenya totally struck a nerve by coming at him the way she did.

Cynthia admits that there have been ‘challenges’ in their marriage since the beginning and Peter points out it was because they weren’t making any money. Now they’re both working and financially, they are doing better.
No money, good sex vs. gettin’ money and no sex? Decisions… decisions!
Cynthia feels like she’s fallen out of love with Peter and that causes him to shed a few tears. He refuses to believe that their relationship is over and feels that divorce is NOT option.
Will they work be able to work things out? Yes… I’m almost sure of it. 🙂
