The ‘housewife’ turnt superstar recently landed another highly coveted spot on BROADWAY!!!
If you recall, Nene’s first role on Broadway was as the wicked stepmother in Cinderella (CLICK HERE if you missed that), this time, Leakes will hit the stage this time as ‘Matron Mama Morton’ in Broadway’s live rendition of CHICAGO!
Nene shared her good news via instagram, stating:

Chicago ? in its 19th year on Broadway ? currently stars Rumer Willis as Roxie Hart, Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly, Jason Danieley as Billy Flynn, and NaTasha Yvette Williams as Mama Morton. Chicago vet Carol Woods will return as Mama from Nov. 2 to Nov. 22, after which Leakes will take over.
Leakes will appear on broadway as Matron ?Mama? Morton, most notably portrayed by Queen Latifah in the 2002 film adaptation of Chicago and her run will begin on Nov. 23, 2015 and last until Dec. 20, 2015.

Oh… and she also had a recurring role on Glee.? Needless to say, Nene isn’t lacking for Jobzzzzz. (take dat! Claudia ‘Irrelevant’ Jordan!!)
