For the record, a racist attitude is not something that can be apologized away.? Feeling bad about it is not going to wash away all the years she felt ‘some kinda way’ about other cultures.? Early Tuesday morning, Deen’s social media accounts sent out a tweet and Facebook post with a photo depicting the cook dressed as Lucille Ball’s character from the 1950s television sitcom “I Love Lucy.”

Her son, Bobby Deen, is dressed as the show’s husband, Ricky Ricardo (Cuban-American Desi Arnaz) and the younger Deen is wearing what several media outlets are referring to as “brownface” to mimic Arnaz’s ethnicity.

*sigh* Same ish… different day!

The photo has since been deleted but as you know… nothing is ever truly ‘deleted’ from the net.

Paula Deen posed the photo above via her Facebook and Twitter accounts for #TransformationTuesday.

Deen poses as I Love Lucy’s Lucille Ball, alongside her former producer Gordon Elliott, and her son Bobby Deen.? Deen’s son is in brownface ? as Ricky Ricardo (Desi Arnez).

The tweet, which has since been deleted reads: “Lucyyyyyyy! You got a lot of esplainin’ to do! #Transformation Tuesday @BobbyDeen,”

According to the Huffington Post, the photo is not a new one: it’s actually from the 2011 Halloween episode of her Food Network show, Paula’s Best Dishes.? But then again, it was no less racist then than it is now.
