Love & Hip Hop has moved to yet another major metropolitan city and this time, the drama is in Hollywood.
A brand new group of ?R&B and Hip Hop hopefuls? who all have their ?eyes on the prize? and are prepared to deliver the ?shock, drama and scandal? hit the small screen for Mona Scott-Young’s latest reality television venture, Love & Hip Hop Hollywood.
The Hollywood cast includes rapper-singer-producer Ray J, Morgan Hardman (Ray J?s ?best friend? and executive assistant), rapper/social media expert Soulja Boy, Nia Riley (daughter of singer-songwriter-producer Teddy Riley and Soulja Boy?s girlfriend), R&B singer Omarion, Apryl Jones (Omarion’s girlfriend/baby mama), R&B singer/actress Teairra Mari and radio personality Yesi Ortiz.
The show?s supporting cast features former B2K member Lil Fizz, rapper Yung Berg, aspiring rapper Hazel E and Omarion’s mom, ‘Miss Leslie’ who is following in the steps of her crazy mama predecessors Momma Jones (LHHNY) and Momma Dee (LHHATL).
The premiere episode trended on twitter, so apparently viewership was high but expect a bit of the same ol’ same ol’ with dramatic relationships and ratchetness.

The series premiere of LHH Hollywood brought the drama as they followed the lives of a few hip hop couples in Hollywood.
Teairra Mari opens the show with her drama filled fixation towards her ex-boyfriend, Ray-J, who is involved in another relationship. Apparently the two broke up but there was no closure for Teairra, who left a slew of possessions at Ray-J’s home.
Ray-J seems unconcerned about Teairra’s leftovers, but says he’d try to see about them. In the meantime, he’s busy coordinating his RayJ.com launch party.
Soulja Boy and Nia Riley claim to have been off and on for years (even though this is the first time we’ve actually seen them together). The pair also set out to build a future together and Nia has laid down the law with her rapper boo, telling him ‘no mo hoes’ in other area codes!
Nia has a toddler from a previous relationship and it seems that Soulja Boy is ready willing and able to take on the responsibility of a ready-made family.
He and Nia plan to move in together and even though they seem like night and day. Soulja says he loves her because she’s just ‘a regular girl’ and while that’s great, sneak previews reveal that he may still have an eye for groupie chicks even though he has a ‘good girl’ at home. Typical.
Moniece Slaughter is Fighting to Regain Custody of Her son from Lil Fizz, formerly of B2K.
Moniece and Fizz have had their share of drama over the years and there has apparently been violence in their relationship, as Fizz reveals he once had a restraining order against his baby mama.
He also had full custody of their young son, Kameron, at one point but now they have joint custody (although their son still lives with Fizz full time).
Apparently Moniece doesn’t have a place to stay but she has money to get her weave styled by one of the top stylists in L.A. (priorities?). She has also started a sex toy line and says she’s so busy that she can’t take care of herself, much less her son.
My question is this… if she works so hard, why doesn’t she have a place to stay?? *sigh*
Whatever the case, Moneice is hoping to make big money from her sex toy business and wants to use that to regain custody of her son.
Moving on…
Omarion and Apryl…
As with just about every other Love & Hip Hop franchise, there’s a ‘messy momma’ on board!? This time, it’s Omarion’s mom, ‘Miss Leslie’ who is not seeing eye to eye with her son’s baby mama to-be.
Miss Leslie blames Apryl for Omarion’s lack of funding and she feels that their budding relationship has totally diverted her son’s attention to her finances.
While it would seem normal for any man to cleave to his PREGNANT girlfriend, Miss Leslie doesn’t like it AT ALL and seems to want Omarion back to herself.
Also, Omarion is no help at all in the situation! The former boy bander feels that Apryl should bow down to the demands of his mother because she ‘has issues’ and should be treated carefully.
Apryl feels that Omarion should put his Mom in her place, but from what we’ve seen so far, that’s not gonna happen.
…and of course there’s a fight!
In the final segment of the premiere episode,? Teairra shows up at Ray-J’s website launch party and immediately causes conflict when she finds out her items have been discarded.
Teairra tells Ray-J she wants ‘a check’ for the items she left behind and Ray-J’s new girl hears the discussion. It just so happens that the new chick has photos of what she threw out and it was mostly ticket stubs and ‘coochie cream’… annnnd a fight ensues between Teairra and Ray-J’s new girl that leads us to a cliffhanger for next week’s drama.
