Mona Scott-Young has been in Soulja Boy’s ear for years trying to get him to join the cast of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta but it seems that the young rapper never fully committed to the cause.
Soulja Boy had?originally been cast on LHHATL as the love interest of Scrappy’s ex-Fiance Diamond but I guess they couldn’t pay him enough to keep up the facade in his hometown.
Now the ‘Crank Dat’ rapper has finally reconsidered but instead of being added to the ratchet cast of his Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, Soulja Boy went for the big bucks and is now going to be the anchor in a new spin off version of the popular hood drama!

Many say that Soulja Boy’s addition to the cast is a last-ditch effort to pump some life into the show.

According to TMZ, sources close to production claim that the show has been struggling with weak story lines and uninteresting characters, so producers felt they needed to add a big name rapper to liven things up.
Right now … Ray J is the biggest star on “L&HHLA” … and producers think he and Soulja Boy will be a huge hit together. Sources close to Ray J say he’s pumped about his new co-star.
