Atlanta Radio Tea! Miss Sophia Returns to Atlanta Radio on Rashan Ali’s ‘Morning Grind’…

There has been a bit of a shake up in Atlanta radio this week.

It all started over at V-103, when Ryan Cameron’s morning show released two of Cameron’s co-hosts, Kendra G & Crash (click HERE if you missed that). ?Later I heard that Egypt Sherrod either jumped ship or left before she had to walk the plank after failing ratings in her afternoon spot.

Here’s where things get messy… rumors began swirling about who would fill the empty spots and names like comedian Wanda Smith and cross-dressing funnyman Miss Sophia were thrown in the mix.

Both Smith and Sophia played an integral part on Cameron’s predecessor, Frank Ski’s morning show, and neither has had much of an impact on air since Frank Ski left Atlanta airwaves this time last year.

But now at least one of them is about to make a return to Atlanta airwaves Monday morning as Miss Sophia now joins Rashan Ali on 94.5!

Details below…

According to a press release received:

I would like to announce the long awaited return of radio’s Real Queen of Comedy, the Mouth of the South, Miss Sophia.

After what was almost a three year hiatus Miss Sophia has decided to return to the Atlanta airwaves with the city’s newest and fastest growing hip-hop station Streetz 94.5, joining Rashan Ali on “The Streetz Morning Grind.”

Critics are confident that Streetz true urban music base and Miss Sophia’s brand of brash comedy are sure to be a perfect marriage.

Congrats to Miss Sophia on her return to Atlanta radio!
