Kenya Moore of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been on the “low” since details of her financial struggles were revealed by her landlord’s eviction filing back in May of this year.
Kenya lost the eviction battle after she failed to appear in court but things still haven’t been resolved.

Moore has constantly denied the details surrounding the eviction drama (i.e. she didn’t pay her rent) and during a call to talk show host Wendy Williams, even accused her landlord, Conya Dillon-Weems, of filing the dispossessory action for publicity.

Kenya eventually filed a counter-claim to the eviction, but honestly, her only defense would be to pay her rent or prove she already paid. That being said… the former beauty queen is apparently playing ‘hood games’ by ducking and dodging her landlord’s requests for payment and it seems now she’s merely filing motions to prolong the eviction process.
The homeowner has had enough of Miss Ratchet USA’s stall tactics… and has now filed a motion of her own explicitly documenting Moore’s shady rental history and asks the court to expedite Kenya’s extraction!
Full details + court documents below…
On June 19, 2013, Defendant (Moore) filed a Motion to Set Aside the ruling and the landlord feels she did so “for the purpose of intentionally delaying the process of the Court and the Writ of Possession”.
Moore is supposed to be ‘gone with the rent fabulous’ by now but she’s reportedly still ‘squatting’ in the home, refusing to move out.
Court documents reveal that this is NOT the first time Dillon-Weems has filed an eviction against Moore.? She first filed February 2013 but according to her statement, Kenya chose to settle privately to ‘avoid public humiliation’.
In prolonging the eviction, Dillon-Weems states that she is facing financial distress and has been forced to find temporary housing.
On or about June 7, 2013 and June 20, 2013, Defendant knowingly and maliciously made false statements about Plaintiff on the daytime TV talk show, Wendy Williams, in an effort to defame, intimidate and embarrass Plaintiff in the public.
Defendant has utilized this dispossessory process as an attempt to maintain relevancy as a reality TV personality during the downturn of her career. Additionally, Defendant has attempted to prolong the eviction process in order to avoid public humiliation as an irresponsible tenant.
She also notes that Kenya’s filing is merely an effort to prolong her rent-free stay…
As a reality TV personality, Defendant (Kenya Moore) has utilized this Court and the media to intentionally and knowingly delay execution of a Writ of Possession in an attempt to avoid public humiliation for her irresponsible financial behavior.
The recent court documents further reveal that Kenya was delinquent on several utility bills that were a part of her leasing agreement:
March 2013 – sanitation bill (US$333.96), DirectTV/Phone bundle (US$226.55), and
GasSouth bill (US$341.07).April 2013 – AT&T bill (US$256.81).
May 2013 – Kenya failed to pay: GasSouth (US$519.71), Cobb EMC (US$71.48), and AT&T (US$256.81) and her resulting late fee (US$400.00) for non-payment of additional rent.
Looks like the cat’s out the bag now about Kenya’s financial issues. 😯
And by the way, in case you were wondering why Walter Jackson was at Nene Leakes’ ‘Do-Over’ wedding and Kenya wasn’t (click HERE if you missed that), well… it could have been because Moore too a last minute gig in Africa to come up with some quick cash.
Maybe Kenya ‘twirled’ up enough dough in Africa to pay her landlord…
Should she pack up and go or stay and ‘squat’?
