Moss, who was just in the news a few weeks ago after he queened out ranted online about Kandi’s lack of involvement in the SoSO Def 20th Anniversary Celebration (click HERE if you missed that), was partying up in Atlanta but he was also the topic of conversation in L.A. during Grammy weekend.
I had an interesting conversation about Mr. Moss in L.A. with a BET exec (who shall remain nameless), who spoke about Moss’ future with the network.
It seems Bow Wow is on a mission to change his image. He wants to be viewed more seriously in the entertainment industry and has even considered changing his name!
Details + more photos below…
Moss apparently plans to be off work often, working his various other “projects”, while BET plans to leverage his “star” power to maintain their aging 106 & Park audience.
No surprise there right?
My only question about Bow Wow and improving his image was actually more about his name than anything else.
I personally think he would be taken a bit more serious as “Shad Moss” and I was told that happens to be his desire as well… BUT according to my BET source, the ‘powers that be’ who control Bow Wow and his image say that’s not happening anytime soon.
*sigh*
Oh well…? he dropped the “Lil” a while back so it’s going to take some time to transition to “Shad Moss”… I don’t understand what the hold up is though.? Think of how many times Puff Daddy… Puffy…. Puff…. Diddy… Sean Combs… changed his name.
It can be done… just do it!
In the meantime, Bow Wow the television host will be hitting the stage as “Bow Wow the rapper” for the SoSoDef 20th Anniversary concert in Atlanta, Feb. 23rd.
Do you think Bow Wow would be taken more seriously if he used his birth name professionally?
