Keyshia offered praise to Beyonce, which was a popular opinion last night…
All was well, until Cole decided to state her opinion about Beyonce’s Destiny’s Child backup singer group member Michelle Williams, and apparently her criticism didn’t sit too well with “Black Twitter”.
Details below…
As soon as Keyshia’s tweet went live astonished followers voiced their own opinions about how she was wrong for doing so.
I personally felt the same way and others who were watching the Super Bowl with me even commented about Michelle’s dancing… singing… etc. but apparently many online feel that Keyshia doesn’t have the right to her opinion.
Once the fire started, there was no stopping the flames. While many felt Keyshia’s twitter was hacked, it became clear that she said what she meant… and meant what she said! Especially when she tweeted (and her hubby Booby retweeted) this photo…
Due to her statement about Williams, Keyshia was called everything but a child of God last night. And some even went so far as to bring her bio-mom’s (Frankie Lons) drug use into the argument, prompting Keyshia to respond yet again…
I’ve always felt that Twitter actually brings “celebs” too close to the people and it will probably be the cause of death for many a career.
I personally don’t see anything wrong with Keyshia’s statements because clearly she has the right to her opinion. But being an “artist” herself, should she have expressed her opinions so vehemently online?
Should Keyshia have kept her comments about Michelle ‘on the low’ (even if she was telling the truth)??
