Facebook Fail! Man Arrested After Posing With Money He’d Just Stolen… [PHOTO]

Somewhere… in a jail cell… there’s a man who wishes he’d never pressed send on that photo he posted to his Facebook profile!

And his name is Matthew Montgomery!

Montgomery, 30, posted the photo above on his Facebook page and now he’s facing federal charges.? You see… the feds had been watching Montgomery, who was a suspect in a robbery and when quick witted agents examined his Facebook page… WALLA! There was a photo of him posing with a thick wad of cash.

And if the pic wasn’t enough, Montgomery even posted a few suspicious status updates… *sigh*

They shoulda never gave you knee-grows internet access… 😕

Details…According to TSG, Federal investigators arrested Montgomery, a North Carolina man, February 7, 2012 for allegedly robbing a United States Postal Service driver of $5600 during a heist late last year in Belmont, a city outside Charlotte.

In their case against Montgomery, agents revealed the Facebook wall postings below, which probably revealed his state of mind prior to the robbery…

Being that Montgomery?s rap sheet includes previous convictions for grand larceny and burglary, his posting sent out a red flag (and I’m sure the photo didn’t help either).? He was jailed after a routine visit with his probation officer.

If convicted of the federal charge, Montgomery faces a maximum of 25 years in prison.

The moral of this story? Never post evidence of your crime spree to your Facebook…. duh!

Have you been a witness to Facebook stupidity?

(Feel free to snitch… just this one time!)
