Earl “DMX” Simmons is back in the clink again. The troubled MC turned himself in to LA officials yesterday (July 26th) to begin serving a 90-day jail sentence for a 2002 reckless driving conviction.
Los Angeles City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan said the 39-year-old rapper turned himself in at a downtown courthouse. He said a judge ruled that the rapper cannot be freed on electronic monitoring, work release or home detention. He must serve jail time.
As you know, X has been repeatedly arrested and jailed over the past decade, recently serving a sentence in an Arizona jail for violating probation by failing a drug test.
Court records show DMX was found in violation of his probation in January and was supposed to surrender in March. He didn’t appear in court and a judge revoked the rapper’s $100,000 bail.
X looks surprisingly sober in his newest mugshot, which is comforting considering his wife, Tashera, has decided to kick him to the curb after 11 years. This recent development actually gives her more beef for her new reality show.
Tashera spoke with AllHipHop recently and confirmed that the two are? officially separated and she is planning a reality show which focuses on her rebuilding her family and life without all the DMX drama:
