About two dozen women marched topless through the streets of Portland, Maine (April 3rd) in an effort to erase what they see as a double standard on male and female nudity.
While the pack of bouncing boobs caused quite a stir amongst male onlookers, none of the women were charged with any crime. Police said there were no incidents and no arrests, since nudity is illegal in Maine only if genitals are displayed.
Ty McDowell, who organized the march, said she was “enraged” by the turnout of men attracted to the demonstration. The purpose, she said, was for society to have the same reaction to a woman walking around topless as it does to men without shirts on. (Source)
Talk about a double standard! Maybe Erykah Badu shoulda chose Portland as the location for her “Window Seat” video.

On April 3, 2010 dozens of women participated in a topless protest to try and bring attention to the double standard in society’s attitudes toward male and female nudity. In the state of Maine it is legal for women to be topless in public.
Men get so happy over the sight of boobies…. Hilarious!
