The internet has been abuzz about R&B diva Mary J. Blige putting the smack down on her hubby, Kendu Issacs, for allegedly eyeballing a waitress during her album release party in New York last week. Since Mary has reportedly been a victim of domestic abuse in the past, it’s quite surprising that she’d do the same to a partner.
I’m hoping it’s all a misunderstanding but apparently the video below proves it happened:

According to the New York Post
Mary J. Blige punched husband Kendu Isaacs in the face at her record release party at club M2 Tuesday night. The singer slugged Isaacs, drawing blood, after she thought he was flirting with a waitress. “She turned to him and was screaming, ‘You’re not going to ruin my night,’ ” our witness says. “They got up in each other’s faces before someone tried to separate them, at which point she shoved the guy aside, pulled back and popped [Isaacs] in the face.” The source said Blige, Isaacs and their entourage were whisked through a door to the attached club Pink, which was closed. Our witness relates, “She was yelling at him, ‘What are you gonna do, Chris Brown me?’ Four of her bodyguards and two of the club’s kept them apart.” Isaacs was kicked out. Blige went to the bathroom to fix her hair and makeup, but soon fled, creating an uncomfortable scene for partygoers Jay-Z, Beyonc? and Busta Rhymes. Her rep said only, “People lie and don’t know what they’re talking about.”
Later, the YBF reported that an eye-witnesses spotted Mary’s brother hitting Kendu, as well:
?I was speaking to Ryan Leslie when a commotion broke out. I heard the sound of a loud clap. When I turned around, security was rushing over to Mary J and her husband Kendu. I over heard her close associates saying Mary J slapped her husband, not punched. Mary?s brother was trying to hit Kendu also and that?s why he was thrown out. But the reason the fight broke out wasn?t because of her brother like some blogs are reporting, it?s because Kendu was flirting with multiple women and got caught. Mary?s brother hit Kendu and that?s why he was bleeding. Mary only slapped him.
Hopefully Mary & Kendu have kissed and made up by now…
