Coroner Claims Sickle Cell Caused Ashley “AJ” Jewel’s Death But His Parents Cry “MURDER!”

A coroner’s report has revealed sickle cell anemia may have played a role in the death of Ashley “AJ” Jewell, who died during a brawl in front of the Body Tap strip club. According to Fulton County Associate Medical Examiner, Dr. Kelly Rose, preliminary autopsy results lead her to believe Jewell suffered from Sickle Cell, a disease which inhibits oxygen flow to tissues in the body.

Rose says it’s most likely that Jewell was so worked up from the fight, that it’s probable that the disease prevented his body from replenishing the oxygen he lost during the incident. Although the report is plausible, AJ’s parent’s are crying FOUL and feel that it was still murder.? Check out their statement below:

No word yet on if Federick Richardson, the man charged with voluntary manslaughter in AJ’s death, will be acquitted of any crimes involving AJ’s death. Regardless of an “official” cause of death, the question still remains,? ‘if it wasn’t for the fight, would AJ still be alive?’?? It’s a tragedy for all involved.? AJ’s family lost someone near and dear to them and his children lost a father, on the other hand, Richardson is sittting in jail for a death that may not have been his fault.
