Chris Brown Pleads “Not Guilty” in Assault Case While Rihanna Flees to Barbadoes

Chris Brown appeared in an L.A. County Courthouse yesterday to enter his “Not Guilty” plea at his arraignment over the alleged beating of girlfriend, Rihanna.

According to press on-hand, “Brown quietly entered a not guilty plea on both of his felony charges of assault and making criminal threats.”

From here, the “Kiss Kiss” singer will return to court for a hearing on April 29. If convicted, he could face up to four years and eight months in prison.

Meanwhile, Rihanna’s lawyer, Donald Etra, told press following the arraignment: “What happened this afternoon is what we fully expected would happen this afternoon. It was merely a routine matter.” (Source)

While C-Breezy was in court in his tuxedo pants, Rihanna was headed back home. She was spotted arriving at the airport in Barbados and has made it clear she doesn’t want to testify in the case and wants Brown to cop a plea. It’s also being said that one of the main reasons she’s in Barbados right now is because “she wants to be as far away from this case as possible.”
