Phaedra Parks of The Real Housewives of Atlanta shared a joyful Halloween in a pumpkin patch with her two adorable sons, Ayden, 6 and Dylan 3.
The popular ‘housewife’ recently spoke with ABC news about what fans can expect from her storyline for season 9 and apparently being a ‘single mother’ is at the top of the list.
Parks addresses how she is handling life without her husband, Apollo Nida,?who is currently serving an eight-year prison stint. The two wed in 2009, having two sons together before he was sent back to jail for bank fraud and?identity theft.
Last season, Phaedra toyed with the idea of divorcing Nida and apparently this season, she’s claiming that fans?will see “my divorce become final” when the series returns. ?Apollo also recently hit the ‘gram to offer ?his perspective on how a woman should treat a man.
More details below…
I’m glad that I’m able to enter a new chapter in my life, but at the same time as a woman and as a probably anal person who’s very ambitious, you don?t want to be the most successful business person and be a failure at personal relationships.
But Phaedra says she’s moved on from Nida and is moving on with her life:
I’ll always love him because he?s the father of my children so I can never be regretful of that because out of our union came these beautiful awesome kids.
But as far as being in love with him romantically, I?m definitely not at that place in my life anymore.
While Williams has been serially dating,?Parks admits she hasn’t actually been dating at all. ?Whatever the case, she’s going to use her platform this season to?create a business out of her predicament, stating:
We actually have a dating app. We are trying to navigate those waters.
We?re very excited and happy about that.
Parks, 43, said viewers will see just how hard it’s been adjusting to being a working single mom when season 9 of RHOA premieres Nov. 6th. ?And while her divorce is still pending, Parks says?she does feel like a piece of her family is missing with Nida behind bars.
“Where we feel his absence [is] when the boys ask, ‘Show me how to play football.’ I know obviously quite a bit about the game, but I?m not the best football coach,” she admitted.
Parks also revealed that although she’s visited Nida in Fort Dix, the low-security New Jersey prison where Nida is serving his time, her two sons?haven’t returned since we saw last witnessed their trek there last?March on RHOA.
Meanwhile, Apollo (or whoever is handling his social media) is claiming that he already has a ‘new queen’…
