QUICK QUOTES: Nicki Minaj Blasts Kanye West’s “Gold Digger’ Lyrics & His Marrying A ‘White Girl’…

Nicki Minaj is featured in the November 2016 issue of Marie Claire magazine and she doesn’t mince words when asked about double standards in the rap game.

Specifically… Minaj slams rapper Kanye West for the lyrics of his 2005 hit ?Gold Digger.?

The 33-year-old superstar seems to be holding a bit of animosity about West’s 11 year old song,?where he?warns women,?‘when he get on, he’ll leave your a*s for a White girl,’? and apparently takes the opportunity to share her thoughts on West’s classic verse and how she feels?he’s quite the?hypocrite!

Details below…

In a post titled, ‘Nicki Minaj is here to slay: Anything Jay-Z can do, I can do,’ the rapper targets racial stereotypes in rap music and specifically addresses Kanye West’s ?Gold Digger song, stating:

?I?m so tired of black women feeling that when our men get rich, they?re going to leave them for a woman of a different race,? she told the magazine.

?It wasn?t funny when Kanye said [in his 2005 hit ?Gold Digger?], ?When he get on, he?ll leave your ass for a white girl? ? and Kanye happens to be with a white girl now. It wasn?t funny when he said it; it was the f–king truth.?

Minaj also speaks about West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, referencing Kardashian’s?social media exploits and the double standard that exists when?women of color also choose to pose provocatively or semi-nude for photos they share to social media, as Kim often does.

?When?Kim Kardashian?s naked picture came out, [Sharon Osbourne] praised it, and my fans attacked her for being such a hypocrite,? Minaj said.

?So it wasn?t trashy and raunchy when a white woman did it, but it was when a black woman did it? It?s quite pathetic and sad, but that is my reality, and I?ve gotten accustomed to just shutting it down.?

For the record, I totally agree with Minaj’s assessment, but as Nicki points out several double standards in the article, it’s hard NOT to notice that there are no Black men featured in her spread…

Is that a double standard too? Or merely an oversight?
