Parks has been battling to save her reputation against Stanton’s accusations that she was the mastermind of an alleged criminal empire and now, they both can move on with their lives now that a judge has finally made a decision the case.
Details below…
In the book, it was alleged that Phaedra drew Stanton into a life of crime filed with forgery, theft and racketeering then turned her back on her after she was arrested.
Stanton also alleged that Parks was the real ringleader of the ?criminal enterprise? and that Parks even had a secret ?girlfriend? and was into ?freaky? sex.

The timing of the book was quite questionable considering Parks was at the height of her fame on a highly rated reality show and soon, Parks fired back at Stanton with a defamation lawsuit.
Stanton filed a countersuit of her own against Parks and the two have gone back and forth for almost 3 years now.

For the record, Phaedra ‘allegedly’ settled with VIBE over publishing the book in the first place, so she wanted to dismiss the case that she filed against Stanton but couldn’t, due to Stanton’s counter suit.
Parks has tried unsuccessfully to have the counterclaims dismissed but time and time again, her motions were denied.? There were also other issues at play, like rotating attorneys.

Now, Phaedra can finally rest easier!
In a motion filed this past April, Parks asked to get Stanton?s suit dismissed yet again and she succeeded!
Reports are that the judge decided that Stanton?s case shouldn?t move forward and that her suit should be dismissed, which freed up Phaedra to dismiss the entire lawsuit.
Stanton?s attorney, James Radford, confirmed the news on his website, explaining that Stanton is disappointed, but glad that the case is finally over.
The case of Phaedra Parks v. Angela Stanton was scheduled for trial on June 6, 2016 in the State Court of Gwinnett County, Georgia. On Monday, June 1, the court entered an order dismissing Ms. Stanton?s counterclaims against Ms. Parks. Ms. Parks subsequently agreed to dismiss with prejudice her lawsuit against Ms. Stanton if Ms. Stanton would agree not to appeal the order dismissing the counterclaims. So, the case is now resolved and will not go to trial.
We have some disappointment, as Ms. Stanton was anxious for her day in court. However, a dismissal is a dismissal, and Ms. Stanton is relieved that the claim of defamation has finally been buried. This has been a long, tumultuous process. Ms. Stanton looks forward to focusing on the positive things in her life, to following her dreams of being an author, and to sharing her life story with the world.
