Several news reports placed the number of students escorted out of the venue to about 30 or more.

Kicking out anticipated protestors isn’t an uncommon practice for Trump events, but this was one of the largest groups so far in his campaign.

Trump reportedly requested the removal of the students.

“I think we got kicked out because we’re a group of black people,” a tearful student said?in a video posted by USA Today.

“I guess … they’re afraid we’re going to say something or do something. But we just really wanted to watch the rally. To get kicked out because we’re a group of black people … shows you how racist our own school is.”

Another student said the group decided to stand quietly in the bleachers wearing black attire as a statement. The group had no intention to disrupt the candidate, the student said.

“We didn’t plan to do anything,” Tahjila Davis, a 19-year-old mass media major, told The Des Moines Register. “They said, ‘This is Trump’s property; it’s a private event.’ But I paid my tuition to be here.

Some students also documented the incident via social media…
